Cedar tree tore up, rub ?

Found this while deer hunting in some of the nastiest cover I've ever been.thru. initially I thought it was a huge rub. Now I'm thinking it could be bobcat or something else. Anyone know?

I saw a large cedar tree torn up like that in the Muscatuck National Wildlife Refuge East of Seymour Indiana and there ain't no bears within a hundred miles of there. At least not on the North side of the Ohio River.

I think it's possible a huge deer as this area is known for some huge bucks. That area I was in has probably not has a human through it in some time. It's a tangle of briars prickly ash and downed cedar
