As I sit here and watch the snow come down it's hard to believe turkey season starts tomorrow ....what the hell is up with this weather

Heavy winds and rain for most of the week, should be fun...

going to be perfect for opening day in 8F. From talking with local hunters, I think that if there is any silver lining to this weather it's that it may have delayed breeding a little. And we all know NY is always late to open the season.

Supposed to be beautiful here in 4u. 70 tomorrow and 80 Wednesday and Thursday.

Looks like weather turns nice tomorrow in 4-H. That's good. Cause, these older bones of mine, won't agree to sit in the cold rain anymore!

Supposed to be 58 degrees going to 75 and sunny.  The big question, do I skip work to get skunked tomorrow or just get skunked on Saturday.  hmmmmmmm

Nice here in 8X also....I agree about the cold rain..Just spent 4 out of 5 days in Canada sitting in the cold rain, albeit in a blind...Still, it was cold and damp...

Calling for 70s possible for us but u know that could change overnight lol

I'm playing hooky from work tomorrow! You may as well too! Go for it! Sitting in the woods is always better than work!!!

 

Right now it's snowing like crazy at our hunting grounds! Buddy says the ground is covered and it's still coming down!!

May need snow camo for the morning!!!

I saw that storm.  Stops east of us in Syracuse but hopefully its all good tomorrow.  Snow to 70 degrees in 24 hrs.  Only here.

Just put one camo umbrella together out of parts from three   This one had a fist sized hole so I used Elmer’s glue and a sandwich bag and then glued camo cloth over both sides of the baggie   Redneck ingenuity and it outta work lol.  My plan is tip one over tomorrow, skip Wednesday through Friday and weather looks ok weekend for daughter and I.

I have it off. It'll be a 2 for 1, hunt in the morning and mow the lawn for the first time in the afternoon!

There were 2 school delays here this morning. Crazy.

Gonna dress warm in the morning but looks like there should be some gobbling.   In the afternoon gonna go check all the deer stands and see how they fared thru the winter.   Looks too be too windy to fish the lake.

First place I looked and there were my license and turkey tags.   Must be a sign that I am due.   Lol. Tomorrow it is.

Oh I can’t jinx myself anymore than I already am when it comes to spring turkey.   Ha
