Dom
How and what do you use to keep your Holiday/Christmas tree from drying out.I have used asprin and sugar water over the years and the needles still drop before Xmas
Steve D
We just use plain water ….as much as it wants. We set it up the first weekend in Dec. and take it down right after New Years. We have only had 1 or 2 that didn't retain their needles very good. Once they stop absorbing water they usually are close to being done. We water once a day. Nytracker
Fresh cut trees do well . If your not sure when it s cut always cut back a few inches . Never let the end be out of water. Fresh water every day.

Salmon_Run
I always cut off a few inches off the stump just before I place it in the stand and make sure to keep it filled with water so the stump doesn't seal over and I use just plain water...

Nomad
Easy bought an artificial one . 28 years of “ real “ trees, I never wanted a fake one, now I’d never go back .
Moho81
We never seem to have an issue with our fresh cut trees. One trick I have heard of is for the first few waterings use hot water. Something about hot water stopping the sap from hardening and closing off the veins. We have done both cold and hot water with success so I really don’t know
