Robhuntandfish
Thanks much! He's got first pick of our stands so hoping he gets on one. We always pick out two each with a #1 and a #2 pick when we both are hunting. Our picks for this pm according to wind were both the same with our 1st and 2nd being flip flopped so it was meant to be! Robhuntandfish
Hunt #2 Littlefield stand 3-dark. Didn't see a thing, or hear a thing. Got busted on the way out. Had a deer on neighbors property blowing at me but never saw it. Corey had some action at swamp stand. .had a doe come out but no shot, was out of range. Pulled cam card at Littlefield. Pic of the 6 point that's been there a bit. Some does and a large yote. This little doe has an ear all torn up. And the pics of these two fawns all week have been without mom. Wonder if something happened to her and defending them from yotes? ... Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
Robhuntandfish
Hunt #3Littlefield 3:30-dark. Had a spike come up trail I walked up on. Came to about 16 yards from stand. Think he caught some movement though. I think he came back thru about 15 minutes later. Could see a deer body in same trail. Wouldn't shoot a spike anyway. Got busted on way out by a large body deer but dark enough and moving enough that couldn't see the head.Pulled nearby cams and only one buck in past week there. Also less doe pics. Think they have eaten all the good stuff in this little plot already. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
Robhuntandfish
Hunt #4. Light - 10:00am. Wayback standDidn't see or hear a thing. Corey was at Scrapetree also nothing. Pulled some cams a few doe and fawns. One pic of the same 6 point and also a spike horn on a couple of different cams. Prob the same one I saw in the stand. Interesting quandary though.... Have a cam near this stand by an apple tree. Corey put the cam up and I couldn't find it. Looked around and it was laying on the ground and still on? It wasn't attached to the tree at all and face down. It took pics for about a week then this last pic.....First pic is a couple days prior then last is last pic taken on 10/5. Robhuntandfish
Hunt #5. 4-dark. Lawn stand. Had two flatheads come out 5-6 minutes after I was in the stand but never got closer than 65 yards. I think we need to move this stand back in for more cover. They didn't bust me and tail out of there but the one was looking hard. When I got down at dark they were still just inside woods prob waiting til dark to come out and feed. Pulled cams and a couple of night bucks showing up. One looks pretty damn nice! Robhuntandfish
That deer is a tank and unique!!!!!!!I've got some great video of him pushing does. He was out on the new area we put a plot in. He's been around for prior two years but always at night. Hoping he pokes his head out at the right time. Robhuntandfish
Hunt #6. Dark -10:00. Roadkill standDidn't see any deer at all. Pulled cams and does out here every night last 4-5 nights at 6:30. So prob try it again tonite. And prob see nothing lol. Did see something I haven't seen in a long time. An otter. It crossed the trail and went right under the stand so I got a great look at it. Thought it was a fisher at first but it had that awkward hop and little ears. Def an otter. And I was sitting between two ponds so makes sense. Was very cool to see. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk

Robhuntandfish
Hunt #7 3:30-dark. Roadkill stand. Didn't see a single thing tonight. Had does on cam the last 4 nights in a row but of course not tonight. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
Robhuntandfish
Hate to do it but we moved a stand in season. The new one we put up and put in a food plot just had to be moved. Sat there the other night and two doe come out and glare right at me. I stuck out like a boner in sweatpants! And with Big Sixy on cam here we need to be concealed better. So backed it into the woods a bit. Feel much better about it now for sure. Corey was out this morn at Pine and passed three small does. Robhuntandfish
Hunt #8. Roadkill stand 3:30-darkNo deer at all. Saw a small Fisher. Corey was in pine tree and saw doe and 2 fawns he saw this morning. He gave them a pass. He's becoming a big time hunter. Lol. He never used to pass anything. Robhuntandfish
Hunt #9. Scrapetree dark -10;30. Had a spike come in about 7:45 and walk right by me. Glared at me at 4 yards and nose up trying to scent me. He got a pass. Also saw a fisher. Put up a scrape dripper in the spot like we always do. Pulled cams and not a lot of action here except for that spike like everyday. One lone doe there in a week. Which is really odd for this spot But..... Did get one big buck pic at night. Terrible pic but can tell it's a good one with no prob. Then venison steak and eggs with Charlie. Robhuntandfish
Hunt #10 lawn stand 3:45-dark+ No action til like 6 and hear some movement but doesn't sound like a deer. It's a beautiful grey fox. Comes out to about 10 yards and bolts. 5 minutes later hear def deer walking. Out pops a fawn at 12 yards. Then mom and she isn't even very big. And I hear another one behind her. So these are getting a pass so I try to sit down when Mom isn't looking since fawn is now out in field. She catches a little of my movement but doesn't panic. But does hop just back into the woods and stomps over and over. I look out into field and now 3 more deer come out about 60 yards out and two of them are big does. Ok these are in play if they come in close. But it's getting dark fast. Mom works and stomps her way up the treeline then eventually comes out with the other fawn at 40 yards. So now there is 6 deer in the field but only the fawn in range. Dark comes and no shot...now what do I do. Then behind me I hear another deer walking and cracking and breaking sticks. Makes me think buck in that thick stuff. Might even be big Sixy as I am in his zone. Can't stay all night....I see deer outlines moving in the field in front of me and can even hear them chewing on the food plots. Do I coyote howl? I decide to blow like a deer. It took two of those before I heard the deer take off. So I get my stuff and go to get down and the one behind me at about 40 yards starts blowing. Get me outa here......lolSo I walk out the field edge and get 3/4 of the way back and another small deer in that side of field takes off. 8 deer tonite and never sent a shot. Lol I just feel that one in the woods behind me had to be a buck. Crazy night. The pros and cons of a food plot I guess. Oh and a beautiful sunset! Robhuntandfish
Hunt #11. Roadkill stand 3:45-dark Saw nothing. Looking over cam Intel and last year deer were using the trail to my east a whole lot more. Seems like now they are using a small one I put in to the west now to enter the field. This would explain not seeing anything here in three sets but have does out in field every evening otherwise. Gotta rethink my wind for this spot. Also water is a lot less this year and they are possibly bedding in different areas. Subtle changes every year to adjust to but it's part of the game....Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk

Robhuntandfish
Hunt #12. Scrapetree dark-9:30. Not much of a hunt when it's tee shirt weather going in the morning. But this was more of a setup mission than anything. Pulled some cards and cut some branches we missed on that side after hunting. The first scrape is in and I had a cam right there but damn it no pics cause a branch moving in the breeze filed my card by 10/9. But got a couple branches cut at scrapetree then went over to lawn and cut a couple there and pulled the cams. We have a nice 8 out roaming at night. And another blonde yote. No hunting again til at least Fri afternoon. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
Robhuntandfish
Hunt #13 3:30-5:00Def unlucky #13. Went to the stand I chose but wind just wasn't right. So got out of there without issue as it was still early. So had another picked about a 15 minute walk away. Start over there and I see 2 does standing right in front of that stand looking down the trail about 400 yards. So I back out and they have no clue. Go to another stand and get up there and my best shooting lane a limb had fallen down and is now blocking it all and I can't get it without a pole saw. So one of those nights that's just a cluster &$-#. So bailed out of there and be back in the morn with a better plan.
