UpStateRedNeck
Usually when I lay down on the couch for an hour, after a day outside, especially cold days. Hamstring and groin (groin mostly after moving a hanger stand). Throw a blanket on, watch something with the wife..... Then when I get up BAM! I think it's part dehydration, part "Hey dumbass you stretch after you jog, do it then too!". Happen to anybody else? Any good preventatives? Damn things tend to linger for a while too. greg54
Try 6-8 ounces of Tonic Water at bedtime, it has small amounts of Quinine and helps relieve muscle cramps.

I have taken mustard for cramps MANY times..It has never failed to work...In fact just this morning about 2:00 AM a cramp in my thigh woke me up...A teaspoon full of French's Mustard and it was gone in less than two minutes.. I have never tried to use it as a preventative because I don't really care for it, but it sure works as a cure
