Doc
Nope, my phone is pretty dumb. It's not a toy, tool or interesting gadget....lol. It's a pre-paid unit that is only for emergency use. I never even turn it on. Our primary phone is still a land-line based phone system. Doc

Slugger09
I have an iphone and I don't think any phone compares to it, especially when it goes to verizon.
WNYBuckHunter
The Droid X and Samsung Facinate blow the iPhone away. I dont think Verizon is getting the iPhone any time soon from what I have heard from my buddy that is a network engineer for Verizon. gundeck
I read a tech report this week that says Apple is starting production of 3 million CDMA iPhones (which will run on Verizon's network) at the end of this year. I have an iPhone and a Samsung Omnia. The iPhone is primarily for testing at work. I like the iPhone more than the Omnia, but my buddy has a Driod and I like that MUCH better. WNYBuckHunter
Ok, so they are gonna cut the iPhone down for Verizon. Cheesy at best. So many people will buy them anyway just for the name. People can knock themselves out with their iPhones and pay for every little app, the rest of us that know better will be loving the amount of free apps on our Droids. Zhe Wiz
Not sure why this is turning into a Droid vs. iPhone thread...but I guess we all have to justify our purchases! I have an iPhone, love it, but have never tried an Android phone. Sure do like a lot about Android, but I love not having to worry about things on the iPhone too. I'm heavily into the Apple ecosystem, and I like it here. Zhe Wiz
WNYBuckHunter
Its not an apple vs Droid thread. Its my opinion. I happen to have experience with both plus BlackBerry and Windows Mobile. In my opinion you can't beat the Droid phones. Not even on Verizon's network.
WNYBuckHunter
Oh and for the record, I don't buy my phones, the company I work for does. We just make fully educated decisions on what we use based on what's available at the time.
burmjohn
Droid X here, I was an iphone user, but jumped ship because I wanted to actually make calls. Its been an easy switch, and love the phone / apps even more so then I did with the iphone.
