Doc
here we go again wouldnt you know its raining again i dont know about youall but i would like snow instead Sorry, but I am not that big a fan of winter that I am ready to wish away the fall. Rain is not my favorite thing, but at least I don't have to climb out there in sub-freezing temperatures and start to plow when there are other things I'd much rather be doing. Those who are looking at flooding as a result of rain are certainly going to view it all differently as I have done in other years when it was our turn with the flooding. But right now, the prospect of white-outs and snow-drifts and stuck cars is just not among those things that I am looking forward to. pawle76
I'd much rather have some snow then rain for hunting. I'm tired of the heat down here. Hunting when it's 85 is not fun. Not to mention the snakes and the bugs.
ny hunter
I'm not saying I like all this rain, but snow is not on my wish list.Maybe a dusting for hunting but thats it.Last year was enough for me for awhile.

sweet old bill
and you guys did not plant your food plot with rice to bad for you all.... I have not cut the grass now in 3 weeks , just to wet. I am sick of it, lets get some sunshine and maybe in another 2 weeks a hard frost to kill off the rag weed and those deer flies... noodle one
Be careful what you wish for, because if this rain is an indication of what winter is going to bring, you better hang on to your socks because you are going to need every pair that you can get. By the end of Jan. and into Feb you will be wishing that you never made that wish..

landtracdeerhunter
Don't want to relive what happen a few years back. Started snowing Thursday night before bow opened Saturday, we got 22" of wet snow. Thunder and lightning, and pounding snow. They called it the" October Surprise" . With the leaves still on the trees, all the weak limbs came down. What a mess. Limbs stripped on every tree in the area. Even the oaks took a hit. No power for 12 days.Took 2 hours to get to our 20 minute spot. Nothing moved, and I don't know how we would have got a deer out anyways. Top it all off, a few miles north, never got anything.
