BizCT
11/7: hunted 3S in the morning and saw nothing except 6 turkeys at 925am. Never turned my trail cam on over scrape on Tuesday. It looked tore up. Oh well. Can’t believe I made that mistake. Hunted 3N on dad’s land in afternoon and nothing. Dad hunted first day with xbow dark to dark and saw nothing. Some fresh rubs have finally popped up. And a cool sequence of fox with and without something in its mouth the other day. BizCT
11/8: I didn’t Hunt, but dad did dark to dark. No deer seen but more scrapes and rubs since yesterday. He must have bumped this buck on the way in. My dad passed the cam a few minutes later. Too bad it wasn’t a better pic.We have a plan for tomorrow. I’m gonna dust off the xbow and sit on the ground (no chair, no blind, etc.) in a gun spot near all these signs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
BizCT
11/9- dad hunted 3N dark to dark nothing seen except a coyote at 1pm. 43 yds but couldn’t get a shot. It was a big/old one but had a rat tail. I hunted 3N morning and 3S afternoon. No deer seen. 3S spot had this 4/6pt on cam this morning. I would have seen it if I hunted thete since I get in like 530-Ish. Not sure when my next hunt will be. BizCT
11/13: Steady rain the last few days along with the camera theft debacle....Anyway, Dad slipped into the woods for a PM hunt in 3N today as his return. No deer seen. he has not seen a deer yet this year. I will likely hunt 3S tomorrow (quick morning), while he hunts 3N (all day) tomorrow. BizCT
11/14: I hunted 3S the morning only till 830am. Saw a doe/fawn at 750am. No rack. Cam showed the 10pt is back along with a new buck (7pt these past 2 days). I need a hot doe to come through. I get no doe pics. I’ll likely try there again tomorrow morning for a longer sit. Dad still hasn’t seen a single deer in 3N and nor have I.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
BizCT
11/14 continued- dad saw nothing dark to dark in 3N. 6 days, 12 sits and zero deer seen for him. Same thing with hunting land neighbors there too. They are headed to Ohio next week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
BizCT
11/15: I hunted 3S till 11am and saw a spike nose to the ground at 10am trotting in circles around 70yds away. I think the same spike I saw the other day. Then saw 6 turkeys. I checked cam and the “squiggle brow 8pt” was earlier in season came through last night behind a doe. I hadn’t seen him since 10/11 in person or camera. 4 shooter bucks and can’t seem to outsmart one yet. I’m getting more limited with all the water on the property now. Dad hunted 3N till 11am and saw nothing again. He’s 0 for the season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

BizCT
11/16: I didn’t hunt but Dad did dark to dark in 3N. He was down to the afternoon magic hour about to finish off 7.5 days of being 0 for the season in sightings when he spotted a spike. He had the spike 20-40 yards in and out for 20min. He was hunting a wide open valley I hunted with xbow the morning of the 9th. Heavy pines to left and heavy bedding to the right. But in this open valley you can see a long way. He was sitting on ground against a tree (no blind or chair). Anyway, Everytime the spike left my dad did a light grunt and he came back. He sent me some cool video but I can’t upload them so here’s a screenshot at 18yds. He was playing around with him and then all of sudden noticed and second deer. The other buck was at least a 6pt (3 on each side) but like 8pt with small brows. Not huge but respectable. The bigger buck never saw my dad. He actually ranged him at 46yds. And was on right on him behind shoulder but lots of brush. So he didn't take the shot. He waited for sunset before slipping away unnoticed. He'll go back in tomorrow and hopefully get him. Likely try to grunt Him again. I will say my Dad has had a lot of success over the years seeing the same deer 2 days in a row, so I think he's got a chance. Goes to show how quick a horrible season can (almost) become great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
BizCT
11/17: I didn't hunt, but Dad did dark to dark in 3N. He didn't see that buck from yesterday but he saw a really nice 7pt at 130pm 60 yds away and heading away. Then he watched 6 does/fawns from 4pm till sunset in shooting range. He'll be back at it tomorrow. and I may try a quick hunt before work in 3S tomorrow. we'll see.
