Bi or tri focal wearers, try a Hind Sight bow sight

Recommended Posts

Any of you old duffers (like me) out there that have to wear glasses with bi/tri-focal lenses and still are trying to shoot a bow?

Get rid of your bow string peep sight and try a Hind Sight system.

You really would be suprised how much it will improve your accurracy & especially consistency with your bow.

Both parts of system are mounted on the bow frame, so wrist torque is almost eliminated.

3 thumbs up for this product! May be other similiar products, but I'm not aware of them.

Hum looks interesting, but not for me. I do wear bi-focals, and I shoot right eyed which is not my master eye and my far weaker eye... But I shoot nice tight groups just fine . As long as I can see the pin and put it on the part of the deer I want it does not matter if the deer is clear.

If it came down to it I'd learn Kentucky windage .

I switched to contacts and have unifocal contacts. One eye is set up for distance one for up close. It is like my eyes were when I was 20. I will never wear bifocals again. That being said my bow has a hindsight on it and I love it.

Look at the Squareup. I wear progressives and use the Squareup. After 30 minutes I almost had a robin hood.

Not promoting any product, whatever works for you - keep using it!!!

Don't you still need a peep sight with the Square-up sight?

That's what I was trying to get way from using while wearing tri-focals.

Was damned near impossible for me to focus on 3 things at different distances. Peep, pins & target....

Bubba - That's gotta be the wierdest thing I've heard of in a while. LOL

Never had an Optometrist suggest that........ Learn something new every day!

Had to be hard to adjust to wearing those contacts!??!

I put a Twilight model of the hindsight on a compound two years ago to try to help me focus on the sights, I shoot instinctive and usually longbow or recurve.

several places I hunt I compound or crossbow would be better suited and I tried the Twilight Hindsight and fell in love with it.

I found in a couple places the peep sight, veen the magnum huge one, blacked out before shooting time ended. Its impossible to torque or cant the bow and not see it with this Hindsight. I love it.

New hunter to NY here. Found some public land to hunt, it’s a WMA. I wish I read the regs more thoroughly because I threw up a ladder stand yesterday and today when I was re-reading them, I saw you can’t put temporary stands on WMAs, only on state forests and other such state land. I honestly didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to, I even put my name and license # on the stand. I was going to go take it down tomorrow but it’s an hour drive so I wanted to ask, what do DEC officers do if they find a ladderstand like mine on a WMA? Is this an automatic fine or whatever? Will they just call me and tell me to come get it? Confiscate? How often do officers go through areas like WMAs and check for stands? Any info would be helpful. I’ll still probably go take it down tomorrow, although I have seen other stands up on the WMA, I just prefer to stay on the right side of the law myself. Thanks!

As the 2019 deer season is coming fast and the live from the woods thread is going to light up like a christmas tree(better train this kid at work fast so i can follow up on all the deer porn)...The quickly approaching season has got new topics popping up and me getting antsy sooo......
Is there anyone with a new approach to this years season different from the past?
      Different preparations for the season,etc.
Accomplishment's/goals you are shooting for in the 2019 season?
      Shorter/longer sits etc.

      A few of mine..
1.Prep by shooting as much as possible
2.Spend as much time as i can in my "happy place"(always been my peaceful place)
3.Get my first mount done so i can hang it on the wall at the first house(bare spot!)
4.Get neccessary equipment for processing my own deer in the garage(needs a good cleanin before opening day!!)
5.See the smile on Jay's(turkeyfeathers) face with his first bow harvest!!!!
6.Be blessed and thankful to be able to spend time in the great outdoors.cherish every moment of the woods coming alive at day break(g/f doesnt understand it!!!)<<but im ok with that
This year has flew by and season will be here before we know it.This post is a bit early but im pumped and ready for some woods time!!!!

Hello folks. I'm a novice hunter from almost Central NY. I live amongst the cow fields about 20 minutes south of the ADK park. I'm here hoping that I can learn from those who know more than I do. That's probably most of you. LOL. This is my second season and so far I still have all of my tags. I have a rifle but I'm not comfortable shooting it in the area I hunt due to people being near. I'm hoping to fill at least one of my tags before Dec 19.
