So , in honor of that , I BBQ'd a nice big piece of Venison Back straps marinated in Peppercorn / Garlic flavor . Had some sweet potato spicy fries , broccoli floretts and a lettuce salad . Unfortunately I don't have one yet ( my wife is getting me one for my birthday in April!) one of my hunting partners and good friend has an electric smoker. Dom Posted January 30, 2012 Share Posted January 30, 2012 Well tonightwe are having chicken stew and yes the feet are still on the bird.Here is what i use,2 whole birds 4 clove's garlic 1 bag baby carrots 2 stalks cellery 1 onion 3 boullioncubes.boil chicken for 25 min's add vegies and cook on low heat for three hours. My mom used to make chicken stew and even some kind of potted chicken in a casserole dish with a crust. I have to experiment, yours does sound good. You have to thicken it with flour or arrow root?
