Broad-head buried in antler

A bud sent me this from Wisconsin. I don’t know the girl so covered her face.

I can’t fathom the poor shot angle taken. I bet that had to make an instant headache. Buck got lucky at least once but luck wore out eventually!

Wow that’s strange.  One of the antlers on my archery buck has a slice in the side of it and I discovered it during the first couple minutes after recovery.  Weird as I’m 99% I didn’t do it.

Yrs ago I called in a buck and as I released, the buck spun and ducked.  My arrow hit the antler.  Later that rifle season a buddy of mine shot that buck. He had a gouge and a chip out of his left antler.

Deadliest broadhead on the market!  Knocks em dead even if you just hit them in an antler.  That lady could get rich off that picture.

Not recommended, but many years ago in East Africa, someone I knew took a flock shot at a bunch of running gazelles. One fell but on examination no one could not find any wound till we saw something had gouged out one horn.  The bullet had hit one of the horns and must have broken its neck from the shock.
