WNY Bowhunter
Finally, luck was on my side today!!! I came across this nice fresh 10-pt. set laying together out in a hayfield. I have checked this field several times already but have come up empty. These babies weren't there last weekend and still have dried blood on the bases. Hearing of numerous people seeing bucks still packing antlers... Edited February 4, 2012 by WNY Bowhunter

wooly
Excellent- maybe now the drop will get contageous in your area! They look like they're ready for the Super Bowl sitting there on the couch. Better grab an extra 6pk for them!
WNYBuckHunter
Great way to break the ice! Congrats!
WNY Bowhunter
Actually, I broke the ice with a small shed on 1/22 but hadn't found anything since then despite treking many miles looking for them. So, three down and 14 to go to hit my goal of 17 for the season.
Suilleabhain
Now they deserve to be mounted. Congrats on those two
WNYBuckHunter
Ahhh, I forgot about that one. I thought when you said slump....nevermind. Congrats anyhow lol
WNY Bowhunter
It was more like a 3 week slump. It's hard to pick up sheds when they buckas are still wearing them!!!
Doc
Has anyone figured out a good artsy-fartsy way of mounting and displaying sheds for display?
WNY Bowhunter
I guess you could mount them on this... http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/largeImagePopup.jsp?productId=742255&cImage=s7_229205_999_03 Sheds not included...lol.
ejp419
I wwent shed hunting today. Only horns I seen were still on top of a bucks head. Just a tad smaller then those sheds. Can't believe they're still holding. Can't be for much longer...
erussell
Super nice shed's looks like a buck I had come in to 40 yrds and wouldn't get any closer this yr during bow. I was wondering where he went to. Tell him to get back here will ya. I havent found any sheds after several outings or seen any deer wearing there rack either. I think they are all dead. My uncle said one guy who own's a bunch of property on the back side of the hill we hunt was bragging about his family killing 15 deer this yr off the hill. Which would explain why there is a lack of sign there right now. I bet he'll be the first one complaining about not seeing any deer next yr to. I ran into another guy in the woods sheding Sunday. He say's he hasn't found a shed yet either and usually has a hand full by now. His theory is landowner on the other side of the hill on this other property is feeding the deer and they are all over there hanging out. Hard to tell where the deer have been since there is no snow. Was easier last yr to find sheds because they actually yarded up because of the snow. Edited February 8, 2012 by erussell
