Another decent one has been showing up. Were trying to figure out how to set up on him. One of those deals where no big trees around. Im considering putting up a pole here to hang stands in. Unfortunately i have been too busy to hunt. Hopefully my brother gets a shot.

Is a ground blind an option?

It is but the best spot to set up him is in a skinny hedgerow filled with rocks. Getting up above is always my preference. I always over look the ground blind. Maybe ill scope out a spot.

Just get a ground blind in and let it sit for a few weeks. they'll get used to it. too bad you didn't put it in during the summer.

You could also set up a brush blind opposed to a factory made blind. It allows a wee bit more options as to where you set it up and how big you make it. Piling up some sticks and small logs can be less noticeable to deer them a nylon tent, and they already smell like the surrounding area. The last one I put up wasn't even finished and I had chipmunks running across it and through it.

Problem is the hedgerow is not much bigger than a ground blind. Plus it is a boundary line so it’s mostly rock. Not exactly blind territory. Ill post a picture of what im working with tomorrow. The blind would would stick out like a sore thumb.

Just back into the hedge row, rearrange some stones, clip a few branches. Voila..

I have a few 5 gallon pails hidden in  hedgerows that have seen a few deer shot..
