I just looked at my memory cards from the back yard. I didn't realize they could be nursing (or trying to) this late in the year.

Can't say I've ever seen them nursing this late. Would think momma would be shutting that down!

I also got a short video on my cam of a fawn nursing last week. Momma didn't stop it either. I also thought it was pretty late for that activity.

I've shot Doe in gun season full of milk for the fawns.

For what it's worth . Does dropped fawns here really late . I had new fawns showing up late June an early July. They are still really small and spots just left . I have some pictures last  week where I thought they were nursing .
