New to me truck

So, with all the “New Truck!” threads I hopped online looking around to see what’s available. Of course I found the exact configuration i wanted in a color i have never seen and I love it. Naturally i found myself at the dealership later that afternoon. After a lengthy test ride we settled on a number i think was fantastic considering where we are today in the vehicle market. Its a 2019 1500 LT, 5.3 with the 8 speed transmission Z71 4x4 13K miles. Loaded with options, its the double cab with the standard box. The color is what GM calls havana brown.

Great looking truck. That color is really cool.

I'm still driving my 10 year old Subaru. I'll drive it until the wheels fall off so bad that they can't be welded back on.

I know a guy who has a similar color, but I think his is more red. It looks black until you get in the right light. Does yours have the metal flake?

No metal flake. I have seen a similar color on the gm website for the new 2022, different name.

Nice looking truck!  This is “Kodiak brown” and it looks black until you hold something black near it.

Yes that’s exactly how this color acts.

Funny story. Years ago when I purchased my 13 Ford I’m sitting in the dealership filling out the paperwork and the salesmen was verifying all the info. He gets to the color and says green. My wife gets this really confused look on her face and whispers over to me, green? Aren’t you buying a black truck? Nope. It’s green. She was dumbfounded. Lol. It was that super dark green that could and did look black in the right light.

I had so many friends after seeing it a few times all of a sudden ask if I got a different truck because now it’s green!
