wooly
My neighbor called me up and said the bear's in her yard tearing up her bird feeders,lol......"I'll be right over"!!! When I got there, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him mutilating a young 6pt buck! I sure hope this guy sticks around throughout the summer, but he has ZERO fear of humans. Gotta admit, my guard goes down a bit when you see him playing with stuffed animals, lol When he was done with that he moved on to the fruit trees, lol. erussell
Looks like the bear I got on the trail cam the other day. I complain about the bears alot ruineing my deer hunting. But I dont think I could ever shoot one unless it was in self defense.

G-Man
Had one tear up my 3d archery target and "eat out " its stomach area.. then dragged it into woods 100 yards.. they say they are the largest predator of deer especially fawns!
NFA-ADK
That is funny G-Man. It looks young, 1 1/2 may be? Erussell I feel the same way. I do not go after them usually and passed on a young one several years ago at 15 yards w/bow. I chased him up a ridge and was trying to have him do a deer drive with me. He tired out after the climb to the top so I passed him and watched as he checked out my scent at 15 yards. The owner of the property later shot him even though he said do not shoot him... growalot
If he's tearing up feeders and has NO fear of humans ...he most likely won't make it through summer....two falls ago when we went to the bear meeting the DEC got a nuisance call and two of them had to leave....they later found the bear and shot it....that one happened to be injured...broken jaw...figure a car hit...but they later told us that relocating just doesn't work...they almost always return to the area...so nuisance bears are shot...which is why they are coming down hard on the ppl feeding them albeit in bird feeders or garbage cans they'll find the source and fine the ppl Great pics you got though thanks Edited May 23, 2012 by growalot
