Hah, the Bronx doesn't have anything on Staten Island. The damn things cause traffic jams here because they have no fear. http://articles.nydailynews.com/2011-11-09/news/30375399_1_turkeys-south-beach-psychiatric-center-tree-lined-residential-streets1 point

I hadn't thought of a coon, Growie, but since they are closly related to black bears, that would make them a prime candidate... Aardvarks, badgers and armored dildoes would also be prime candidates, if they only existed in NY... But who KNOWS..??.. Perhaps the DEC has subversivly stocked THEM along with the coyotes, pumacougars, and wolves...1 point

From Pygmy. He's a hell of a nice guy. Me, Doe, Elmer, Culver and Elmo along with Pygmy recently met up for a few beers and he showed us some pictures of his past hunts. I scanned that one because it was really cool. You give Pygmy a couple of beers and he'd give you the shirt off his back. Below is a picture I took at the get together. He let us throw him around the room for a while. That was Elmer giving him a good toss!1 point

If Obama gets re-elected, it may well turn out to be the election that ends America as we know Specifically what do you mean by this? I hear this type of fear mongering rhetoric all the time with nothing specific to back it up. Can you be specific?1 point

Confusious say: "He who stands on toilet is high on pot." "Man who masturbates into cash register, comes into money." "Good to meet girl in park. Better to park meat in girl." "If you don't want to wash your hands after using the urinal, don't pee on your hands."1 point

I dont know what strip clubs you are going to, but the ones I frequent dont have strippers that look like they fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Of course, you are in Binghamton, that could explain it. I once went to this place called Red's in Middletown. It was like a freak show.1 point

This is why I don't fit in in this state. I think firearms should be sold at Home Depot and the only questions asked should be cash or credit.1 point

I agree...both candidates suck. When was the last time we had a candidate you were proud of voting for as oppose to a candidate you voted for because he didn't suck as bad as the other guy?1 point

Btw, their loss of gun ownership rights IS part of them paying their debt.1 point

The Kool-Aid is that they don't already have it. The only felon a law against felons owning guns is stopping is one who wishes to lead a law abiding life. The felon who doesn't give a crap, and wants to live the "thug life", we'll he's already got a gun. I hear gun owners and sportsman say gun control only inhibits the law abiding all the time. Do you actually believe it, or is it just something you say to have a retort? As for felons becoming felons by infringing on someone else's rights, if only that were true. If the only felonies on the books were malum in se laws, the statement would be true, but it isn't. When victimless mala prohibita become reason for felony conviction, the statement ceases to be true. If they're too dangerous to own a gun, they're too dangerous to be out of prison. If they're out of prison, I cannot condone the creation and continuation of any sort of secondary class of citizen. A debt paid is a debt paid. In other news, I picked up my big n small game plus fishing for 10/1/2012 Last Thursday.1 point

Ran in to a girl with no clothes on while hunting. I do not know if she was hot because she had some guy on top of her pounding away. They smiled and never missed a beat. I just kept walking.1 point

More info is needed to arrive at what inhibits your setup from getting penetration with mechanical heads. 1) how well is your bow tuned? 2) what is the overall weight of your arrow including broadhead? 3) at what distance do you fail to get passthroughs? 4) what was the animal doing when the arrow impacted? 5) what cutting diameter mechanical are you using? 6) what style of mechanical head are you using? jackknife/ overthe top deployment or cam action? 7) what is the energy output of your compound bow? 1) If your arrow is not traveling straight you will lose a lot of penetration potential regardless of the type of broadhead used. 2) a light weight arrow 350 grains or less will penetrate less that one in the 400+ grain category. 3) longer distance shots will penetrate less. 4) an animal that is dropping and whirling away when the arrow strikes will have an effect on arrow penetration when compared to an animal that was moving very little. Most aminals that have an arrow heading their way start to move somewhat before the arrow actually strikes. 5) mechanical broadheads come in many styles and cutting diameters. A 2 blade head with a 1 +1/2 inch cut will penetrate better than a 2 blade with a 2 inch diameter cut, or a 3 blade mechanical with a 1 + 1/2 inch cut. 6) a jackknife style mechanical head will use up a little energy upon deployment, while a cam action will not. 7) a bow that puts out 55 foot pounds and up is adequate to achieve passthroughs with mechanical broadheads at 20 yard ballpark distances. I shoot a 60 lb compound with a 28" draw. I have beeen using a similar setup for 15 years and have had many passthroughs on good size bucks while using these mechanical heads: the original Spitfire 2 blade jacknife head Rocket 3 blade 1 3/8 diameter heads 2 blade Rocky Mountain snyper heads with 1 + 1/2 inch diameter. You need to match your braodhead choice with your bow's energy output. While a large diameter head is not a good choice if your bow puts put modest energy, there are an abundant number of mechanicals heads out there today that will fair just fine with most compound bow setups. while using mechanicals most of my passthroughs resulted in the arrow also sticking in the ground, and there was one that ended up in a small tree after passing through a 2+1/2 year old buck at 20 yards that I could not pull out. That was with the 3 blade Rocket head. Of course shot placement was on the money in that case and others when passthroughs were achieved. If passtroughs are not being achieved at normal distance shots then there is probably more to balme that the head of the arrow. lots of guys have a habit of blaming the mechanical head when they don't recover the animal, when in fact the blame belongs elsewhere. I have never had one fail me. All the deer hit well with one were recoverd and most were passthroughs and more.1 point
