Took my buddy's 12 yr old out East on L.I. this morning...had torrential rains and some fog..no gobbling...did some light calling and had a bruiser run in from across the field and beat the heck out of Pretty Boy decoy and then Frankie flattened him at 10 yds with his Mossberg 20ga...all done at 6:20AM...AWESOME hunt and got it all on video. Bird weighed 20.5lbs 1 1/4" spurs 11" beard9 points

Set the blind up last night to watch over the field this morning. I got there a little late (7:30) and there were two toms and 2 hens already out there doing their thing. Pretty sure they heard me undo the zipper on the blind as they made their way off. Did manage to yank a few gobbles out of them before they left, but other than that, it was pretty quiet out there. 2 different gobblers..5 points

Yea. I do about 2-3 minutes in the microwave to make them softer. Then mix with olive oil salt and pepper. Then on the grill for like 5min per side and they come out charred and taste great.3 points

Sounds like the Starter is shot. Its an easy enough fix. Disconnect the battery, & remove the old starter. See of the bendex gear is all chewed up.3 points

So this is what we saw at 6 ish this morning about 400 yds away ..... And they disappeared because we saw this a few minutes later.... Nothing since so we decided to come in. Too windy and they were spooked. Tomorrow is another day! Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Tab S23 points

My wife and daughter left for vacation at 2 P.M. My son brought home an awesome looking sub, for himself. So I made myself a toasted grilled cheese and ham sammy, that I forgot about and kind of burned, so now I'm just sitting here looking at all these awesome pictures of food. I hate all of you!! LOL!!!!2 points

Again ,,,Im just telling you the facts… You can do what you want. But selling, buying or possessing a rifle, as you described, is 100% illegal in NYS, unless the rifle has been made NYS compliant. Sounds like neither of the shops you have been dealing with knows WTH they are talking about. In NY, under LIL Andy…any semi automatic rifle (center fire or rim fire) that has a detachable magazine can not have a pistol grip, or a flash suppressor, or a bayonet lug or a collapsable stock or any other "evil feature". Its not hard to look up on line. Good luck.2 points

You know he wrote and collaborated with miles davis as well... he spanned many kinds of music.. his death is a great loss to music in general.. even local bands covered his music..goo goo dolls for.example,. He created Sheena e, the time, and helped madonna, beyonce, wutang clan write and produce many songs... rip..2 points

Prince was a better genius than some people even realize. Aside from all the hits he's made, he also wrote songs for other people who probably wouldn't have ever made it if it wasn't for him. He wrote "Nothing Compares 2 U" for Sinead O'Connor and "Manic Monday" for the Bangles among others.2 points

Start to finish, went much smoother than I thought and came out better than I thought. I use a hammer and crowbar to get the old crappy boards off while saving the 3 bases which were fine. For $40 instead of $20 total I went with the composite decking stuff. Also, got a cool video of 4 deer who jumped my neighbors fence and were stuck in his backyard for a few minutes. They didn't come into my yard since I was right there videotaping https://vimeo.com/163954762 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

A swing and a miss for me as usual..., but you cracked that one out of the park! He really does look good! I kept wanting to call him a "golden horn hiker" for some reason, but I was worried about a few guys here who have their eyes on my drinking habits tonight....and yesterday..... and the week before last...,lol Congrats on a fine buck, and good to see him home!1 point

If a crossbow is classified as a bow, and you need to purchase a bow privilege to hunt with it you would need to have taken the bow class. The intent of these bills as written will not require you to retake the bow class if you took it in the past. If you have never taken a bow class in the past and or had a bow license in NY, you would have to take the class to purchase the bow license.1 point

Never saw the reason to tote that much weight. My Ruger 10/.22 is fine enough in weight versus carrying a heavy black scary gun1 point

If I can whip that up myself, I'll be opening a side business real quick. It's at a restaurant.1 point

Thanks for letting me be part of it Lou. I look forward to this contest every year.., as I'm sure the new hunters do as well!1 point

I'd like to pitch in a little something for the prize pile this year Lou. You're one of the few guys that actually gets involved with promoting the youth hunts and doesn't just talk about it. Your motivation and generosity are appreciated especially considering you do this for total strangers kids on this site. Good luck to all the kiddos, and good for you Lou putting this contest together again!1 point
