  2. I just can't believe some of yours comments. My we all forget our childhood. How many of u had a pet u loved and the feelings u had when it died. Would u want someone digging it up or cutting the feet off of it. Come on people, have a heart.

  5. One of the best reasons I like mouth calls is they don't need the motion like hand calls. But a close second is the box call, nothing like it for the volume & locating. Slates are ok, I mean I like to use one at times but have a bad habit of loosing strikers.

  6. The way this clown is treating honest, law abiding, citizens in unreal. Get caught with 8 rounds in the magazine of your legally owned hand gun, and you face a Felony. The corner drug dealer gets caught with CRACK!! and more than likely he will only face a Misdemeanor.

  7. I'm haven't looked extensively, but one facet that it worth noting is that Ohio now has more xbow hunters than "longbow" hunters. "Longbow" includes the vertical bow bunch. The MI report loosely points to it, but doesn't rule out those moving from bow to xbow..a significant % (49% of the replies indicated that they agree or strongly agree that they could not hunt deer during the archery season without the crossbow.) said they couldn't hunt archery if xbows were disallowed. While certainly some are those who can no longer hunt with bow, I think it'd be rational to expect a significant % to be those who are able to shoot a bow but have not learned/put the time in - and I suspect that bunch comes from gun hunters. Sure, it's not factually tied based on the released numbers - they didn't ask that - but I think a guy as smart as you would agree that 49% likely consists of a sizeable portion of able-bodied gun hunters.

  8. That's just a little insight as to the priority that these weirdos put on disarming the public. Look, the majority of us voted these guys in. That's what happens when people invest so little thought in their votes. These guys didn't make any secret about their anti-gun attitudes, but now there is all this shock and awe over this state gun law. There are elections coming in the future where many can rectify their errors. Let's see if the events of this legislation stay in the minds of gun owners long enough to have some effect. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. Most voters have a very short memory.

  11. My issue with the argument of things like "the only people who want them are the ones who don't want to practice" is that there are plenty of people who use vertical bows who practice very little. Unless they make a rule where you need to bring your bow and meet some sort of accuracy standard every year before you can pick up your bow license, I'd prefer the ones that can't be bothered to practice use something that is easier to shoot accurately.

  14. Man! ...... That's cold.....lol. If there's an old stump nearby, maybe you could have the kid hold the pet rabbit in position so you could chop the feet off easier. Is rabbit season closed now? I would say that maybe you should go out and get your own rabbit. Even your buddy may look at you a little strange if you ask him....lol.

  15. Well I will tell you I just buried my female beagle yesterday ( 3 - 1/2 hours ) to dig a hole with my JD bucket. She was sick all last week and died Sat.night.She was only 9 years old loved to hunt and the last 3 days she could not even walk.If she were a pet rabbit and you asked that question,I would tell you to get off of my property and never come back.

  19. I guess you can overthink the whole thing as deeply as you want if it is that bothersome to you... my point is that I personally don't understand why anyone would care what someone else is using to kill deer as long as there isn't a safety issue that concerns me.. Killing deer is not rocket science... and the harder it is the more I enjoy it.. just my opinion.. I understand that some of you do feel threatened somehow by other hunters and how they are hunting or what they are hunting with... I personally wouldn't have any problem with a general deer season.. weapon of choice.. I sometimes grab the recurve during gun season just to change things up for a day... but that's just me.. I know the things that concern guys about crossbows does exist, I just for the life of me don't get why they concern them... nothing personal... I just really can't wrap myself around the idea of being concerned about how other hunters choose to do their hunting. It doesn't affect me unless I let it. FYI.. poison dart would be fun... scud missile too easy.

  20. Don't be so sure. They could walk into a state that is more friendly to open shop companies and do away with the union as well. That is the same reason Boeing went to SC.

  21. One could argue that one! Still has shaft,Broadhead and string! Comes back to someones choice on AR. I want AR because I want more and bigger bucks in the areas i hunt. Kind of makes me only worried about myself- Even though everyone i know and hunt with wants the same-. Someone that does not want xbows in THEIR bow season is right in the same boat as you are taking away their choice!

  22. I hope this works...I put this video together using a series of trail cam pictures of 3 young bucks sparring in my foodplot. The honeysuckle bush in the photos is in the center of the foodplot and became the location of a "Community Scrape" with 8 different bucks using the same scrape. I even have pics of does visiting the scrape. You can see it appears each buck works the scrape prior to doing battle. <iframe src="https://www.facebook...151132619201242" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0"></iframe>

  24. Look; there really isn't a need for you to "take up Turkey hunting again.". I am sure you have a lot of things to do come spring. All I need is an address or some coordinates and I'll take care of the turkey problem you have, no charge.
