  1. 2 shots in the torso on a running target. I'm sure you could have done better..
  2. Yup, there are a lot of unhappy customers on Long Island that have made the mistake in using fat boy as a taxidermist. Wish I could have warned you. BTW, it's so easy to do yourself.
  3. FYI, You are wrong. Boone and Crockett minimum in 160". Boone and Crockett is not just gun. Pope and Young is 125". And I absolutely was not trying to "ruin this guys glory" if you comprehended the rest of my post. It was simply a FYI, I would want to know if I said something incorrect. I don't think he took offense or cared. I know I wouldn't.
  4. Just FYI, the minimum typical whitetail score to be in the Boone and Crockett Club is 160". Don't take that the wrong way though. It's a fantastic buck regardless. Congrats.
  5. Very nice. What was the Boone and Crockett score?
  6. Really? The last time the Rangers won the presidents trophy, they won the Stanley Cup.
  7. This. Been using it for years. Works great.
  8. NFA-ADK, not to be a wise ass but did you actually live on the island last year? The snow was just like now. It didn't melt till the spring. Late bred does happen, just not late enough to be born in November. As far as does being harder to find by bucks on long island, I disagree. They find them, its just not that big here not too.
  9. I don't think we are talking about 4-5 month old fawns with spots. BORN in November, 5 pound, wiggle leg newborn fawns. Just not happening. On top of nobody ever seeing any, somebody would have killed a doe in October or November and found a fully developed alive fawn when gutting. Extremely far fetched.
  10. I'll stop there next time I go by. Although, this time of year usually nobody is there. That was in Florida, totally different. Not only does it not biologically make sense. If it were true, somebody, would have seen one in November. Too many hunters in the woods in November not too. Or at the very least have a trail cam pic.
  11. Those deer were grooming each other, not eating ticks off each other. Somebody mentioned there is not much snow out here. There is at least 2 feet of frozen snow here by me, and it was -4 this morning. And I gotta say, just don't believe that there were fawns born in November. Firstlight, what was this biologists name and where can I talk to him?
  12. That can't be Doc, guys on Huntingny said it can't be done...
  13. It certainly can and has been done. Don't feel like going through the whole procedure but a internet search will.
  14. Yes, it does APPEAR to be unprovoked. And it may very well MAY be. Sometimes things aren't what they appear though. It's a tough job. Only the officers that were there, and the subject know what really happened. Not some guy on the internet that saw a video and and says "Good old Southern redneck "Christian" values. The KKK in uniform"
  15. No, wise a$$, I don't have x ray vision. I was going by the police report. Neither you nor I can see the subjects hands. What if would have pulled out a weapon? And did you ever think that maybe his nationality had nothing to do with it? Try not to think like a liberal for a second..
  16. First, I don't do facebook. I just looked into this a little. The police were there because they were called there by a neighbor stating a suspicious person was looking in peoples garages. When they approached he didn't speak English. He reached into his pocket while they were trying to pat him down. A big no no. He got taken down, albeit a little hard, and was temporarily paralyzed. Not permanently. I certainly wouldn't say "Good old Southern redneck "Christian" values. The KKK in uniform" because of this one incident.
  17. That's painting an awful broad brush. There is no audio and the officer is blocking the cameras view. Maybe he deserved it.
  18. I only posted because you said you felt stupid. They are not a domestic mix, so you were right. Someone else should feel stupid..
  19. No, those are specs. Also known as white front. I have shot them on Long Island.
  20. Bob Munden was the man. He was an incredible shot, not only his speed. Spoke to him on the phone years ago and have a signed dvd. He passed too soon.
