  1. Yup, been using wipeout for years. I switched last year to patchout(less messy)and also the accelerator for when I need to clean quicker. Great stuff. As far as the bore snakes go, I have a bunch of those too. They have their place. Mostly for various shotgun gauges and some handgun. They would never see the inside of any of my serious rifle barrels.
  2. Congrats. And yes, I'll take pics later. My tables were made in Maine.
  3. South shore waterfowlers on Long Island. Most Long Island hunting is salt water. Even the little freshwater places that there are, freeze quick.
  4. Easy install. Did it myself. Trim nailer. You can put it over Sheetrock or right over studs.
  5. Put her on a check cord and then make your command. If she doesn't immediately come, rope her in. She has to understand its not a game. Do not buy a ecollar. You can makes things much worse if you don't know what you are doing
  6. Pics are on another computer. It was a great hunt. Wolves there too. Another plus about Alberta was no flies.
  7. I went to Aberta in 2004. Me and a buddy, 2 bears each and it was spot and stalk. Alberta is also high percentage color phase.
  8. You cant always get em. This time of year they have been hunted hard for months, and its not easy. Bet you had fun anyway.
  9. In this case, absolutely. And I was being hypothetical. Luckily, I have a place to hunt just over the border in PA when my kids get old enough.
  10. I don't think 10 yr olds are up on the laws. If someone was to take their kid hunting before legal age, and didn't say anything, they would never know.. Therefor not creating a future law-breaker as some seem to think.
  11. I forgot Mr. Moderator knows everything and loves to argue with anybody that will listen. I won't.
  12. I use a 20 gauge 7/8 oz handload mix of 7 1/2 x 6 with a skeet choke. And usually a .22 pistol for the ones that hold up tight right next to you. A couple of guys I hunt with use .410. It doesn't take much to kill a rabbit. I agree sunny mornings usually are pretty good.
  13. Dam, send it back. Unless you plan on shooting around corners...
  14. I just watched a couple episodes. Man, first he ate liver with gall bladder juice on top. Then another one he ate mule deer testicle. I've eaten a bunch of exotic stuff, but neither one of those are happening.
  15. I hunt rabbits without dogs quite a bit once February comes. Usually the more people the better. You gotta get in that thick stuff and push to other guys position ahead. Just like when chased by a dog, they will often circle. A good pair of brush pants is key, but we are all usually bleeding somehow at the end of the day. Nothing like rabbit hunting in the snow.
  16. Yeah, like you said, wrong word. Definitely wrong though. I do wish NY was like PA in that the parent decides the age not the state.
  17. The biggest thing is make sure the boots are big enough to allow a little space between the sock and your boot.
  18. There was for a few days. Gone now with the rain today.
  19. Shot a doe yesterday with the muzzleloader and did see a small buck still holding
  20. Ughh, yeah you missed it. The post is right above yours. And I am fully aware of the size of the average home range of whitetails. They have been tracked with gps collars to venture MILES away from their home range.
  21. 2000 acres is big, but still NOT fair chase.
