  1. Yes, I've done a few. Savages are awesome. I built them of the target actions. Prefit barrels are the way to go. I have Shilen and X caliber.
  2. A .380 is just a 9mm short. Both .38 caliber. If you don't mind carrying a larger pistol, hands down the 9mm. Problem is 9mm pistols have to be larger to handle the pressure. Too large for my liking for summer carry. There are some pretty small, single stack 9 mm's out there these days though. For me it's S&W Bodyguard .380 in summer, Glock 9mm winter
  3. I'm about 95% sure my buck of a lifetime is already on the wall. But that doesn't change anything for me. Still love to be out there and still love venison.
  4. Whoever scored him as 140's better get some new glasses.
  5. Hey Geno, wondered where you had been. Hasn't been a great year hunting wise down here either with this warm weather all season. So what type of business did you start?
  6. I'm a big P.O Ackley fan. Have several Ackley chamberings. In the .35 Whelen case though, the shoulder is almost non existent to begin with so the acklely shoulder wouldn't be much benefit except for a little less case stretch and not having to trim as much. You also wouldn't benefit much in velocity with the extra case capacity of the ackley because of the shorter barrel.
  7. It's a little bit too fast burning. Designed for smaller cases. You would be better off with RL19.
  8. Sarcasm? Tough to tell over the internet..

Looks good, sounds a lot easier than the traditional method. Which nozzle did you use?
  10. What are his certifications? Hips, elbows, eyes, EIC? Any retriever titles, AKC, UKC, Field Trial?
  11. Hope I'm wrong, but that buck looks totally like a farm deer. If not, congrats to him.
  12. Who cares what strangers on the internet think. Shoot what you want to shoot, pass what you want to pass. Legally of course.
  13. Nothing left on LI, federal sharpshooters took them all out last year. Western NY for sure.
  14. No such thing as a brush gun. All bullets deflect off of brush, twigs, branches, etc. Tests were done and it has been proven.
  15. X2 what Pygmy said. Also, you can blacken with a sharpie the ogive of the bullet and the shoulder of the case and see where it is making contact. Most likely, you are not pushing the shoulder back far enough on the FC brass. Simple fix.
  16. Cool pic. You take great pictures.
  17. You need to learn proper English. Pretty ironic considering your signature post..
  18. Been using them for a couple years. They always perform nicely out of my Omega. Shot one last year with it, 170 yards and both shoulders smashed, straight down.
  19. Sorry to hear. I've seen you out at Cedar Pt with him. They don't live long enough that's for sure.
