  1. The worst part of this BS, is that Governors from other states followed the King's edict and killed thousands of seniors in their states too, only adding to the Kings death toll. Well, what do you think the king was going to do to all of the seniors that were part of the "Not So great" generation ? Ted Bundy had better morals than the King.
  2. The problem with legalization, is that the addicts aren't working a job to get their fix, their stealing, robbing, mugging and sometimes killing others to get the money to get their fix and then they blame the drugs in the end anyway. How is the war on drugs going to work, if they don't penalize the offenders ? No bail seems to be working great for the criminals, not so great for their victims. Maybe if we just supplied the addicts with drugs, then they wouldn't have to commit crimes to get it and we could all dance in a circle singing kum bah yah all day ?
  3. You cannot compare a red light or even night vision to a thermals capabilities. Thermal has it's limitations, as it cannot see through brush, glass, or walls. Most midrange thermals can detect out to and past 1,000 yards. What the blob is at 1,000 yards is the question, but you know there's something alive there. The more you spend, the better the resolution and that will enable you to take longer shot's. I'm going to be receiving an AGM Taipan TM15 monocular this Tuesday. After testing and evaluating their 160 and 384 unit's, I bought a TM15 for my own personnel use. I've recommended the AGM ASP Micro TM384 monocular to many and all that have purchased one have been more than happy with those units. For now, you can get a thermal monocular for spotting and use the red light for engaging targets. I would then save up for a Bering optics Super hogster, or the R35 hogster, if you don't want to record your hunt's. As of now, those two scopes offer the best bang for your buck and have been field proven. Though it can be done, You don't want to be using your rifle scope for double duty as a scope and spotter. It's not safe, especially if it's mounted on the rifle and your pointing at objects you don't ever want to point a loaded rifle at. Check out those and other unit's in your price range before making a decision.
  4. But the American Taxpayers got screwed again, so it wasn't a big loss to the left, right ?
  5.  “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.” Abraham Lincoln
  6. I figured there might be some activity before yesterdays crappy weather was supposed to roll in, so I also did some snow shoe recon. There was no coyote activity at all here too. Some old deer sign and only saw red squirrels moving in the pines. The snow wasn't that friendly, as it melted and then froze, so there's a thin crust of ice on top, not like the snow upstate. I think the yotes have found more friendly areas to hole up in and won't be out until they get real hungry. It's going to be mayhem when/if this weather breaks.
  7. I've been shooting/hunting with 28ga shotguns for a long time, though never for turkey. While I haven't shot an ATI O/U, I've shot many Turkish made O/U's and have been using a Turkish made Mossberg silver reserve 28ga as a clays trainer for years now. The ATI has very positive reviews on all of the site's I've checked, so have fun with it and hopefully we'll see some pics of it with a dead turkey this spring.
  8. Part sarcasm and part scenario, as in, the NY state Dems would legalize marijuana to get the revenue from the sales and also keep their serf's stoned, so they can stay in power. I have nothing against Marijuana, if used responsibly. My wife took edibles to help her deal with her cancer treatments and we had to go through hoops to get it. If it was legal, she would've been able to get it quicker and suffered less. The avalanche was an analogy. Once the censorship snowball starts gaining momentum , it wipes out everything in it's path, friend and foe alike. It's best not to go down that route, as it always ends badly for everyone.
  9. Au contraire, My post went over your head grasshopper. You could learn something from an old man, as I've been around this planet and have seen how this starts with a snowball and ends in an avalanche, in some cases. It all starts with harmless suggestions, like "take your political thoughts elsewhere." Once the censorship cat is out of the bag, it usually ends badly. If you don't like what Grouse or any of the other posters here are posting in the political section, scroll away please.
  10. The impeachment vote for Inciting a Riot started while he was in office. They have shown no proof that his words incited the riot, as was pointed out in above posts. This is nothing else, than a tactic to divert attention from the mentally challenged president in office now. You know, the one that's saying "China would eat our Lunch". This is the wet noodle that's leading our country now, while their trying to Impeach a President that actually sold rice to China. After this kabuki theatre is over, they'll have no other Trump diversions to use and then we'll see how Ol' sniffy Joe Biden will fare in the spotlight. It might get so bad, they might try to impeach Trump a third time ?
  11. I looked at them, especially the step through folding E bike, as I wanted to store it in my van and have it easier to mount and dismount. In the end, the bike with all of the accessories was almost $2,600 and I had to wait at least six months for delivery. I hear good things about the Rover though.
  12. You wish I was smoking something, as that's the only way your delusional socialist thought process might make sense to me. Although, it might help me come up with a quirky response you always seem come up with. This type of scenario has already occurred and is happening now, but I'm not here to tell you what you already know, as it's written in your hand book. For four years we've been told by the witch and her flying monkeys that walls are bad, bad, bad. Unfortunately, the meaning of the word Hypocrite isn't in your handbook.
  13. Your over your Quota for posting political topics in the Political discussion section, on this HUNTING forum. The Thought Police have spoken, So pay a quota tax or off to camp with you. Maybe NY state will impose a Political posting panel, so they can tell you how many post's your allowed to post, so no one gets offended ? Then NY state will have to form an Political posting fine panel, so they can then impose a fine that'll fit the crime and bring in revenue to the state. This will also cause more people to start smoking Marijuana, which will also bring in more revenue to the state, once they legalize drugs. Buttttt, if you don't pay your fine and get thrown in jail, then you'll get the vaccine, as it seems that if your in jail, you get first dib's on getting the vaccine. It's all making sense now. Or you could just not post anything, put on your Brown shirt and get in line.
  14. According to the Google Dictionary ; What is the full meaning of unity? being together Unity is being together or at one with someone or something. It's the opposite of being divided. This is a word for togetherness or oneness. So Biden's talk of Unity, was being in Unity with the socialists to Destroy, Censor, Impeach, Tax and Cancel anyone that gets in their way ? After all of his speeches during his Campaign, I thought he was going to heal the Nation when he got into office. Well, he is a politician and his lips were moving. I guess we'll all be as one, when they put us in Unity Education Camps.
  15. Maybe Biz will go down there and show them how to edge.
  16. Why do you think the big tech giants that spent hundreds of millions to get the election results are coming out with their secrets ? They know what they did can be used against them, like the Wall street big wigs had done to them with Gamestop. They waited awhile to do it, knowing that America isn't going to overturn the election results now.
  17. It sucks, but as a responsible dog parent, I totally agree. Somewhere there's a puppy waiting to be part of your family.
  18. My newest Hobby is Snow shoveling. Haven't done much shoveling the last couple of years, but this year I'm really getting back into it.
  19. BMM, Come on Man ! Solar has been around for decades and so has wind power. The power supply from both of those systems to power the US isn't there and never will be. We'd have to cover the planet with solar panels and that would only supply 1/2 of the energy we need. If you don't know it already, that energy needs to be stored somewhere and that somewhere is a bank of batteries. The energy storage is the weak link in the solar/wind power system. Batteries don't last long and need to be replaced and recycled. Over in Europe, their dealing with a serious crisis on what to do with electric vehicle battery disposal or recycling. Imagine that crisis on a 10 times bigger scale over here ? America has been leading the rest of the world for too long and all we have to show for it, is higher taxes and more jobs going overseas, where they use slave labor and no pollution controls. Name one other country that tax's it's citizens and sends those tax dollars to America ? If America kept 10% of what we send to other countries, we'd have the money to pay off our debt. If we saved 20%, we'd pay off our debt and have a kick ass health care system. The American taxpayer is going to get it in the ass again with Biden's Green deal, which isn't a deal at all, unless you call getting screwed in the ass a deal.
  20. My response is to you, thinking that was actually hard to watch. I've seen principles in catholic school treat students that fell asleep in class with worse punishment and then those students got their asses beat at home for it too. I came from a different time, when people were held accountable for their actions and the police weren't called because a 9 year old is acting out, they were called for real problems. If I did something wrong, I got disciplined by my parents. If I didn't, I didn't and life went on. Now it's the nanny state, full of a bunch of pansy ass pussies that think their supposed to be friends, not parents to their children and the police are supposed to fill the authoritarian role and discipline their children. Well, this is what happens sometimes. This isn't the cops fault, it's the demented societies fault.
  21. Hard to watch ? Maybe they should've put her in a safe space and given some chamomile tea ? They were handling her with the amount of force she was resisting with. That's the mild pepper juice, not the real stuff, otherwise you would've really been upset watching the video of her vomiting. Officers can't let their guard down when responding to any call these days and that takes a toll on them mentally + physically. Does anyone question why more than two officers were at the scene for a domestic call dealing with a child ? And King Cuomo's inflammatory response to the situation didn't help the matter in any way either.
  22. Anything that contradicts VH's point of view is deemed a conspiracy. No matter if Obama came out and said it himself, he would spin it as that "they" turned Obama somehow. Counter points? I'm expecting some more gibberish, backed by some insults and then a change of topic. You know, the typical "progressive" response.
  23. A smack to the knoggin to clear ones thoughts is a lot better than pepper spraying the cruiser that your going to be driving around in the rest of the day. Still no reason to riot, as the girl wasn't killed and is probably going to be set for life after they sue the RPD, with NY taxpayers footing the bill.
