  1. Always sight it with broadheads, bow or crossbow. Not matter how well you tune it there will be some difference in impact if using a fixed blade broadhead
  2. That buck got to get the blood pumping..nice one.
  3. Add a wooden handle to drag it and some strap hooks to secure the deer in it. Works great and lasts a long time

  6. I agree a lot of meat was wasted. To me that is unethical or wanton waste. I even take the meat of the ribs and neck to add the to the grind bucket. Like you said its their choice.

  9. Interesting observation today. The deer were eating peas that were spread and pressed in the soil.

  11. Plenty of youtube videos on gutless method. I have done a few when recovery is late at night and I am too far in to do the drag.
  12. A month later I graded the lower half of the field and cut a drainage ditch. Then planted winter peas, beans, radish and white clover and then got some awesome thunderstorms !!
