  1. Welcome. I would love to hear more about your experiences and learn from you.
  2. Just FYI I have seen timber rattlers in Letchworth park also.
  3. Spitfire Max have not failed me yet. But one has to sight in the bow with them specifically. They dont fly like the Field pt.
  4. Crossbownation forum is detailed on how to do it, depending on make and model. The cocking rope sure helps but the cam timing and a2a is also needed to be super accurate. There are ppl like the field archer who is known for it.
  5. You are better off looking at catskills region for bear rather than going to ADK. GL with whatever you decide.
  6. Cam timing and A2A length needs to be in tune as well. Most importantly how one cocks the crossbow makes a difference between shots. If one pulls harder on right hand vs left then the center or nock point changes in xbow.
  7. That is awesome work. Are you still taking in work?
  8. Welcome but NY has no where the caliber of IL deer. Specially if you have had access to 9k acres. Goodluck in 2020
  9. I agree, we have different preferences. I shoot from compound to ML and everything in between. Just enjoy them all.
  10. Thank you all, for a very warm welcome.
  11. Sorry, for me all are tools to get me outdoors.
  12. Yes sir, depends on area and season. Dont forget xbow too
  13. Awesome, I enjoy being out there. Seeing and killing deer is the bonus.
  14. Its stateland in Rush, also 8H. Gets pounded hard
  15. I have tried turnips and radish but the deer didnt bother with them until late in winter when they dug them up from the snow. Hunting season was long over. Would planting beans and then fencing it with electric work or have you tried it?
