Best time is now . But wait for the PH test results. What if you dont need lime?
-
The beauty with the Sniper model is you can decock it at the end of the hunt without shooting it.
-

Coyote hunting Livingston county
suburbanfarmer replied to Patrick parsons25's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
You can never take out enough. Follow growingdeer.tv and you will learn that one can never remove all predators including coyote. -
Still carrying where I have access in 8F.

Anyone have experience planting milo?
suburbanfarmer replied to stubborn1VT's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I did back a few yrs ago in Bristol/Honeoye region. Nothing touched it, deer didnt even bother with it ever. On the flip side grew that in another field out in Darien area and it got devastated after the hunting season was over. Guessing if it had gotten colder sooner and pods dried up they would have come to it sooner. In my opinion beans are better options in late season if you are planting enough area. -
There is a guy on Crossbownation forum that will make you one as big as you like for any crossbow out of aluminum. He does charge around $100 for it though. Machining is better than the Chinese stirrups that are attached by manufactures.

2020 HABITAT SEED PROGRAM
suburbanfarmer replied to Culvercreek hunt club's topic in Greater Rochester Southern Tier QDMA
Pardon my ignorance, is the seed delivered or picked up from a certain location? -
TSC has them on clearance in store, the 4 pack was like $60
-
They know you cant hunt them there
-
How was your opener, did you connect?
-
Welcome. I would love to hear more about your experiences and learn from you.
-
Just FYI I have seen timber rattlers in Letchworth park also.
-
Spitfire Max have not failed me yet. But one has to sight in the bow with them specifically. They dont fly like the Field pt.
-
Crossbownation forum is detailed on how to do it, depending on make and model. The cocking rope sure helps but the cam timing and a2a is also needed to be super accurate. There are ppl like the field archer who is known for it.
-
You are better off looking at catskills region for bear rather than going to ADK. GL with whatever you decide.
-
Cam timing and A2A length needs to be in tune as well. Most importantly how one cocks the crossbow makes a difference between shots. If one pulls harder on right hand vs left then the center or nock point changes in xbow.
