Are your beans still green?

I agree that they chase them after rut, however this is the hardest time for predators to find food, and they will absolutely try to kill them year round.

It's not that great....

My local Walmart has lots of ammo with a 4 box maximum. No identification or credit card needed. That's in liberal controlled ithaca..... be careful what and who you get your information from. To many conspiracy theories out there.

G5 montec blades really strong, these pyramid shaped broadheads come fairly sharp but easy to touch up on a wet stone.

Nice trip to pound town!!!!!

I pay up to 30$ per acre If the spot is right, I can control aspects of food and stand locations and I'm the only hunter. Get a contract in writing. 200 acres is pretty big if it's the right 200 acres. And that's cheaper than owning it I bet

XOP stands and sticks?
Kmartinson replied to Swamp_bucks's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
I have been using this set up for a couple seasons. I added a Alice pack frame to get it up on my shoulders and nicer to carry. Hawk full size sticks are great. Not the lightest but pretty light compared to older climbers. I think this is a great mobile setup that can go anywhere. -
All these tools have a job. Now I'm mostly using the knives my uncle is making with truck spring leafs and natural wood and antler from his home in North Dakota.

Rut gets a little crazy.

Hector grazing, fingerlakes national forest. Lots of land there. Definitely deer all over. I run the beagles over there too. Great public land opportunity

Putting this out 1 last time. Couple spots left in this lease. 500$ and you can hunt from 10/1 until the focus zone until january31 if you fill out the paperwork in tompkins county.

Our focus area is so overpopulated that we kill 20+ deer a year collectively. A few years I shot 10 myself. Our buck to doe ratio is much more balanced and we see more bucks every year. We eat 3 to 4 deer a year. I take great care of it and share some amount of it with friends and family. I have 30lbs left from last season, so I'll be more picky this year until its gone

Not sure, just know when your hunting more urban areas you need to be really sure because the cops are on thier way. Lol

Is that good or bad? Mine shoots great!

Want to try Grouse hunting

I have stable number in summerhill state forest in Central NY. I see them in the same places every year, the food sources change but you can see there little tiny "V" shaped bites. Crabapple, apples, small tender beech brows, bugs.... they have a large list if food items. Scouting for them sometimes can be relatively easy. Around 10am often times you can see them dusting on dirt roads. In early season they will be in there broads still and you can have more opportunity at some doubles. Just like everything else if you want to be successful I think it's important to scout. Driving on downwind edge of brushlots with a dog's head out the window can work great also. I have only gotten 4(ny limit) one time in my life. I also found a sweatshirt full of apples and honey mushrooms on the same day. It was a day to remember. -
He looks hard horned

The pacific run salmon live in the lake for 3 years usually. Some small amount can be 2 or 4 years old. The Atlantic salmon return to the lake. Also huge rainbows and brown in there when the water cools down.

Your such a good sport. You picked up the most in the state I think.!!!
