I try not to engage with idiots, usually after 5 min of stating facts about hunting gives me the impression of the type of person they are. 95% of the time they understand the logic, the other 5% are the vegan idiots that have this self righteous I am better than you attitude and the conversation ends. (see Doc's post above) They tend to avoid me. (I figure my 5"10, 170 lbs of fat scares them, LMAO!) Vegans are frail. LI is a perfect example of why deer hunting is needed. When I explain: If I do not kill doe a federal sniper will, the attitude of most changes. I tell how federal snipers baiting at night have no clue about how to hunt compared to the deer hunter who bow hunts and how a few snipers have no chance at denting the population of 35,000 deer vs the thousands of bow hunters available. How much safer bow hunter vs snipers with high powered rifles are. How we hunters use the meat vs leaving deer in the woods because they do not have enough volunteers. I also use the "free range and organic" like Loworange88 stated. I explain the circle of life for those who are really interested in getting involved, something the vegan will never understand. PS: Sorry if I am going out in left field the past few days, I am recovering from a bad cold/fever.

First 3 look like different deer. The 4th pic looks like an older deer, could be the same as 1 but hard to tell with these pics. Nice group good luck this year!

Nice! Congrats, enjoy the bounty!

I like the doe cans during rut. Grunt call I always have but use very little. I tend to call more during rut than prerut. My last 2 came to calls. Nov 7th and 9th. Right place right time and proper calls. Check out Peter Fiduccia's videos. This is a doe in heat call vs alarm call. His DVD is very cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJMGYuEdVmM

I usually respond with "OK, he is the one who gave me permission!" NEXT! I will not tolerate idiots, one reason I wear my camo hat all the time is to let EVERYONE know I hunt and I am proud of it. (I defend hunting, and try to educate the misguided of the world.) And I will debate hunting with anyone, idiots I spend little time with because well they are idiots. Kind of like internet forums you can argue all you want and state facts but idiots will still say your wrong. lol Some facts: We contribute billions in taxes to preserve our parks. Hunting industry provides over 600,000 jobs. We have managed the lands to be better for all the animals. We started the go GREEN many years ago but we called it conservation. We do not fence in our yards to keep animals out we plant for the animals. WHAT HAVE YOU, the non hunter contributed? WOW you purchased a green card, good for you. I respect others opinions but ask that they respect mine. As a dedicated hunter I feel I represent hunting well and have little tolerance for the ignorant, misguided and ill informed.

Looks nice, I would think 3.5 would be close.

Many do not pay OT now and compensate with one hour off on Monday for a hour worked on a Saturday. Not exactly good for the employee but works out good for the company. Believe me I know about OT, when it was given I made more money than I make with a base weekly salary. That was over 5 years ago. Many would ask WHY stay, well I have been out in the real world and know how bad some businesses can be. I am sure I could make much more but I am happy with many aspects of my company. People are what make a company great and the people in my company are kind, compassionate and understanding and they know what they are doing in there respective fields. Anyone who has worked enough knows how hard that can be to find. Sometimes your overall health and happiness are more important than money.

Because the company does not pay OT.

I agree with 2 years his body is still small.
-
Hope to see pictures of you with him later this year, good luck, nice deer!

Very nice, the buck are in a different pattern during the summer but if you have doe the bucks will come! I predict more movement once the temps drop and after the next full moon. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
-
Welcome aboard! Enjoy.

Nice buck! Good luck with him, hope to see you later on with him!

I'm in IT and sometimes field calls in a emergency. If the calls get excessive I would request a salaried position and raise to compensate for your extra time to help out. Otherwise you can request that if you take a hour of your time on a weekend to help you should be compensated with at least an hour off the next day. A good company should compensate you for your time. Raise, extra time off, bonuses or other compensations should be rewarded, if not you do not field any more calls, text, or e-mail until you are on "work time". I have used the fishing and hunting excuse for years but the "I was drunk" one is the best, lol 2 FUNNY!!!
-
OMG Wooly LOL! That is too funny! I usually just spray myself with any extra scent. Arm pits, back pack boots, lol. I have never had one charge me, yet... I don't use them for the most part.

I would tend to think they found a sweet spot with good food and are trying to fatten up. Conserving energy by staying close to the food source. This is another reason I tend to target doe, not to hunt but as bait. One thing is for sure, if you have a good sized doe herd the bucks will return. One advantage of owning private property is you can choose to hunt it when conditions are good. Not so easy with public land, it gets hunted daily regardless of conditions. The keep out signs I post are not working, lol.
