  1. 7lb that's a HOG! Nice bass!
  2. http://www.cnsnews.com/video/national/oreilly-americas-race-problem I agree, do you? Good families bring up good kids. But I will probably be labeled a racist for this opinion. Finally someone who is not afraid to tell the truth! Thoughts?
  3. Try to format the card. Or try another one.
  4. They work as advertised! Love mine. I would have liked the post but I used them all up, lol.
  5. One spot on LI has a report of a large 8 and a monster something? I believe it when I see it. My buddy Mike sent me some trail cam photo's from North of Roscoe. I asked if he has room for me!!! WOW a couple of nice deer and another with great potential for next year or two. I would pass the little guy but his buddy behind him is another story. 10 pt on left is just a beauty! Hope he gets one this year!
  6. A hunting cabin in the deep woods, or any woods for that matter is on my list. That was funny Wooly! Looks very nice! Camo cover on those chairs would be perfect!
  7. Good question! As many have pointed out the people who hunt the area and the skill they have make a big difference. In my experience private land holds more deer than public mainly due to presser but I hunt some high presser public lands. Opposite up North in the Dacks. Astute land owners can pattern deer as they generally follow the same trails year after year, much harder on public land especially after you drag out a couple of nice deer others tend to take/ruin your spots. I would think the vast majority of hunters are on private land so that would probably bring those numbers up. A good hunter will be able to get deer on both if he has enough time to scout and pattern. Wish I could do this more!!! Private land owners don't have to scout as much due to low human activity and the knowledge that if no major trees fall to change the pattern then it will remain consistent. Locations is everything. LI public land is vastly different than the private rural area's just as some of our parks are different than a farm with not a single tree on it or a similar parcel with all private woods. My ideal property would be a large parcel with a bunch of openings for food plots, plenty of thick cover for bedding with farms in the back of my property and all state land across the street. Ahh to dream!
  8. Or train him to take down deer! LOL he might need some help!
  9. WT? Dam I need to move to Western NY!!! WOW nice buck, good luck with him!!!
  10. Very nice, that last one looks like he could turn out to be a real stud! Good luck with them, hope they are smart enough to make it through the season.
  11. Very sad story. First off I would never hand ANYONE a fully auto gun without explaining recoil and starting them with1 round then 3 then 5 then 7-9 and building up to a full magazine. But to give a young kid any fully auto gun and expect no problems is just plain dumb. They should review the code of handling a fire arm. Like many have said you do not start people off with a heavy round or fully auto. Bet if I was given a machine gun at 9-13 the results would not have been pleasant, same with a shotgun or 30-06. Common sense should prevail and kids do not need to use fully auto guns for target shooting. A 22 is more than enough for any kid then gradually introduce higher powered guns. Such a shame this instructor died. Prayers to the family.
  12. WOW a brute and he still looks young, amazing! Good luck with him! He looks real healthy!
  13. I can not tell you how many great spots I never found again, then GPS came about. Never lost a great spot since. They have lights so night navigation is possible.

  19. So cute! No problem tracking, start them off with some antlers for chew toys. Good luck and congrats on not being in the DOG HOUSE!
  20. Thanks Belo! He was a young buck but nice! I had brought 30 days worth of food and equipment so room was an issue. I got him the 1st day, my buddy wanted to go home the next day so I did not refuse as I was agreeable to just about anything at that point. If you want to see a real nice buck check out the one I was lucky with in 2010! (My Avatar) 2013 Buck Video available, no kill shot. Google:NFA ADK 2013 http://www.nyantler-outdoors.com/calderone-buck-2013.html 2010 Buck: To say I was happy would be the understatement of the year. A true monarch of the woods and trophy of a lifetime! http://www.nyantler-outdoors.com/calderone-buck.html
