Here’s what I know the army has looked at the 6.8spc. A 6mm-223 and the 6.5 Grendel. I would go with the Grendel but it’s not up to me. They’re going to say with 5.56 what they are going to do is get rid of the gas tube of the m-4 and go with a gas piston model maybe the HK416. -
There will be a mallard harvest restriction in place by the 2019-2020 duck season for the Atlantic Flyway. Due to a 34% decline in the Eastern Mallard population over the years. The restriction will be a reduction in the mallard bag limit from 4 birds with 2 being hens to 2 birds. I will be willing to bet that the limit will be 1 hen and 1 drake for the 2 bird limit. But I wouldn’t be surprised if they go to a 1 bird limit.

So what FSW is saying is people from the CDC and other places like research institutions. that are doing work on CWD and even outdoor magazines that have reported on CWD are all stupid. But the small organization of deer farmers has all the answers. I’m not saying their wrong or anything but the stupid thing would be not to do your own research. (lookup studies on CWD)
-
Hey that’s my girlfriend you all are talking about!!
-
There is a lot of good information out there on CWD if you want to look for it. It is up to you to decide on what you want to believe. Here are some facts, CWD is all ways fatal. If a deer gets CWD it will die from the disease unless something kills it first. CWD has along gestation period up to 3 years. Once CWD is found in an area it is probably there to stay and it will spread. As of now CWD has not jumped the species barrier. If CWD ever jumps the species barrier all deer hunting will end as we know it.

I think I would go with the 45 it's a little rounder and smoother feeding.

how often is the buck you shoot one you have on trailcam?
Larry replied to Robhuntandfish's topic in Deer Hunting
The last 2 years I've killed deer that I've seen on trail cam. Most of the time I kill a deer that just showed up never seen it on camera. Also I don't make hit list or name the deer the closest I come to naming a deer is 8pt, 10pt, 6pt, ect. -
My son and I would have been fishing Hemlock lake on Saturday but not this year. I had my rt. knee replaced on May 15th so I'm grounded for 12 to 16 weeks. What sucks about this is next year he will be living in somewhere in NC so this would have been last year of fishing opening day together.

For me it would have to do with how big it is than color

The DEC’s New CWD plan is available on the DEC’s web site here is some of what the plan cantans Our responsibility as wildlife managers is to recommend measures to prevent the introduction of CWD to the NY deer herd. Regulating the use of urine and scents containing urine is one viable measure based on our knowledge of prions and exposure of CWD susceptible animals to prions. However, best available science suggests the risk of CWD transmission through use of urine products is low. We will continue to review the science of prions in deer urine and the risks associated with using natural urine products as an attractant by hunters through 2018. Thus, the Plan now reflects additional assessment to better determine actual risk will be completed prior to initiating any future regulatory action or other initiatives to limit or prohibit the use of cervid urine. Additionally, DEC will encourage voluntary restraint from use of natural cervid urine products as we more fully review risk.

I'm back home now the replacement went well now its time for recovery 12 to 16 weeks

Tomorrow I get my right knee replaced at RGH. I have been waiting awhile hopefully the replacement will stop the pain and give me another 100,000 miles. What sucks is the 12 to 16 weeks out of work.

Just heard on news , dicks will be destroying remaining A/R’s
Larry replied to rob-c's topic in General Chit Chat
I have a relative that works for one of the biggest wholesalers in the US and he said they all have to be iventoried by the ATF. To-be-scrapped firearms must be inventoried during an ATF inspection if they are onsite and are considered an “open disposition”. Before you cut, shear, crush i.e. destroy your firearm, you should first record the firearms placed into your scrap bin on a scrap log or a to-be-destroyed log. This is a list of the firearm Make, Model, Serial Number, Type, Caliber/Gauge, and the date it was entered into the bin. On scrap day, this list should be validated against the physical firearms for verification prior to scrap; and once scrapped should be used to make the appropriate dispositions into the A&D Book. The A&D Book should be populated almost immediately after the destruction to ensure accuracy. Another detail to pay attention to is making sure that your A&D Book accurately reflects the firearm type at the time of destruction. If you are disassembling a firearm and only scrapping the frame or receiver, then you’re A&D Book must first reflect the change in form prior to the final scrap disposition. Lastly, when destroying an NFA firearm, be sure to prepare a letter to the NFA Branch, informing them of the destruction and requesting that they amend your National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record to remove the NFA items scrapped.
