I've gotten letters from my Senator, the NRA, National Association for Gun Rights. You call yourself a hunter and you don't know this stuff? That right there tells me you are a fraud. I shouldn't have to tell you where to look for this info. If you are a hunter and an outdoorsman you should know where to look for this. The UN thing he was referring to is the UN Small Arms Treaty and it is real and it is very bad for sportsman and gun enthusists. Maybe you need to do some research wise ass. And they won't have to repeal the 2nd amendment at all either. All they need is a 67 percent vote from the Senate to put into law and it will override our constsitution without approval from Congress! Once this law is in place our gun laws will be at the mercy of foreign countries like Iran and many of our other enemies. Furthermore once it is enacted there will be NO WAY to repeal it. And just for your information Obama reversed U.S. policy to participate in negotiations on a U.N. anti-gun treaty. Obama voted to ban almost all rifle ammo commonly used for hunting and sport shooting. Obama voted for a ban on standard capacity mags. Obama endorsed a complete ban on handgun ownership. Obama opposed all right-to-carry laws Obama appointed 2 anti-gun Supreme Court justices and if re elected he will have an opportunity to appoint another liberal Judge after one retires. Obama voted to uphold criminal prosecutions of people who use firearms in self-defense. Obama wants to re-impose failed and discredited Clinton gun ban on millions of common rifles,pistols and shotguns. I really thought more people on this site would know all this and would be members of the NRA. As for Sogaard I think it's funny that a lefty like you would call yourself a hunter. Next time you want to call someone out maybe you should try researching before running off at the mouth.

I'm a smoker but I really try and cut down while I'm hunting. We all have gotten deer while smoking but I would think that if you want to get the bigger class older bucks consistently it would be wise to not smoke while hunting. By consistently I mean year after year. Anyone can get lucky one season but to do it every year you really have to eliminate any chance of alerting an old bucks nose.

NY has the most ridiculous gun laws thanks to all those liberal half heads that call themselves politicians there. NY is one of the few states that does not reciprocate with my NC concealed carry permit.

I've had good results with Special golden estrus and H.S. Scent wafers Buck in Rut scent. Last year I killed my 8 pt. under a scent dripper and mock scrape I had set up. I'll be using that tactic again this year. I used Active Scrape by Wildlife Research Institute in the scent drippers.

Well Dave not sure what I can say that everyone hasn't already. But I hope you don't hang the bow up for the rest of the season. Get back out there and who knows you still might come across that deer while hunting. At least you'll have the rack and closure. Not sure if anyone suggested this yet but from my experience with losing a deer they quite often will double back to almost where you shot them. I've found a couple a few weeks later that way. Again sorry and good luck !

I agree 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 on the right. He's got a little bit of that saggy belly and a little bit of a waddle on his brisket that older bucks get. Very healthy looking deer. As for scoring I would guess the bigger deer wouldn't even break 100 inches or there abouts IMO. I like your set up though looks like a real nice plot.

Deer will start to eat the beans after they turn golden brown. They turn sweet. Also when the waether gets cold the deer will crave beans for the sugars in them. I know a few hunters who pay the farmers to leave a small portion of their crop standing for the deer.Maybe you can get friendly with one and work out a deal. Good Luck !

You're missing the point. If you don't vote for Romney/Ryan and write in or vote for some other obscure candidate you are essentially voting for Obama.
