1. Sorry to hear that man! Happened to me last fall. Had three in range - shot and clean missed all three. At least you had them come in. I saw squat yesterday and this morning.
 2. Well. Im done! Seems as if the birds got the flock outta here. Lol. Gonna try to make it up May 10th.

3. Ive been sitting in my blind since 5:30am. My FIL comes strolling behind me 15 mins later and goes to his blind about 150 yds away. Not more than 20 minutes or so later I hear BOOM coming from his direction. He shot a bird. Ten mins later he comes strolling back with his bird toward my direction and stops in his tracks about 50 yds away and starts calling my name for 5 mins as if he wants me to right over to him. I wave him on. So much for my hunt this morning. Haven't seen squat since then. And I need to start heading back by 9am. Been hearing occasional gobbles in the distance.

4. Well opening day came and went without anything to show for it. I got skunked. Nary a soul anywhere near my set up. Going to be moving to the other side of the property where I saw two gobblers this morning and where I shot my last tom 2 years ago. Crossing my fingers.....

5. I'm still sitting. Heard a couple gobbles a way off. Responded to my calls. That was about 10. Going to wait it out. First turkey I ever shot was at 11:45am in 2008 in the same spot I'm in now. If I leave now I'm just going to go take a nap.
 6. Dont set up my blind on or near wild onion grass. OMG the smell is potent!
 7. Congrats! What a memorable hunt.

8. Congrats! Lets see some pics

9. Thanks Paula. I'm not too worried about him being that Im sitting in the blind I set up for him. Lol!
 10. Thanks. Not sure but its the kind you peddle. Lol. I think its a Canondale. We used to ride together then I gave it up after a few years.
 11. Its really disappointing when you have a flock of 50+ birds on trail cam and on opening day not one shows itself. It's as if they know it's hunting season. Lol. Regardless, I wouldn't pass this up for anything.

12. Been sitting in my blind since 5:30. Few gobbles early way over yonder. Nothing since then. I was yelping and getting a response. But may have been from another hunter in next property over. I plan on sticking it out until noon.

13. Amen!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 14. Thanks Growie. He will be ok. No surgery necessary. Just lots of pain. Unfortunately he's missing out on turkey season. He wont be able to pull a bow or shoot a shotgun/rifle for a while.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 15. Good luck x2

Been up at camp glassing for two hours. Just saw a couple of hen and a jake feeding but not near my setup planned for tomorrow. Hopefully the Toms will be coming down the hill through the woods behind me tomorrow....

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 16. Ouch! I hope he heals up soon. My brother took a spill during a 50 mile road bike ride this past Sunday. He tried to avoid a pothole and over corrected hitting gravel and a small rain gully. Fell off taking a tumble. Ended up at ER with two broken ribs and separated shoulder.
 17. AT member here also. Check the DIY section every night to get ideas, I rarely post on AT though.
 18. ONE DAY TO GO!

 19. Mine came with the porcelain grills which were ok in the beginning but they started to flake. Replaced them with cast iron grills the following year and they've lasted about 7 years and still work as good as when I bought them.
