My zip up Hunting NY gray hoodie was made in Pakistan . MY Maroon Hunting NY pull over was made in Mexico ( it's a Carhartt ) .

The floor of the platform is mesh . It has a trap door in the middle of the floor . I put a piece of carpet upside down over the mesh floor and cut it so the 2 piece trap door can be used . I plan to use it for crossbow and gun . No need to camo paint it as the deer still go by .

I usually put a Hub Blind on a 6' high platform that I have on the bank of a pond . They usually collapse during the winter months and are cold . My oldest son said , "why don't I build you a more solid blind " . I bought some windows and helped with the framing and he did the rest . Matt , Nick and I set it up last Saturday . I took some pictures today .

The Blind reminds me of a kid's fort we use to build a long time ago .....

I had my left knee replaced in the spring ( partial knee replacement ) . I was walking with crutches for a few days and then went to a cane . I called the cane my "Pity Stick" as I got sympathy when I used it . Didn't bother with Handicap Parking as I really didn't need it . Caught hell from my PT Therapist when he saw me driving my Chevy ST stick shift truck . I told him the surgeon told me I would be able to drive after 6 weeks . I said it has been 6 weeks . He discharged me . Anyway , the secret is to do the PT and push yourself even if it hurts . No pain - No gain ! Recovery all depends on the individual . I waited until spring to have my knee done so I had plenty of time before Archery Season . My surgeon told me no more ladders and I said ," how do you think I will get up and down in my ladder stands " ! He just shrugged .........

I never belonged to NYB but got emails asking me to join . Even so , I still don't support full inclusion . I like the seasons how they are now . Crossbows come in at the right time as it is ...... When something works , don't fix it !

I put up most of my stands alone . I do the same thing . sometimes I use rope instead of the straps . I didn't get old by being careless . I have some of those ground swivel spikes in the garage somewhere and gave a set to one of my sons . Neither of us have ever used them .

That ad in Craigslist is rather expensive . It amounts to $25 a foot !
