So , what is the cutoff time ? 20 minutes , 30 minutes 60 minutes after sundown . Where does it end ? And , what the hell are people teaching the young hunters about breaking the law if it suits them ?

Any grinder that I have used has the retaining ring thread onto the mount . Never heard of one coming off when grinding . The ring only needs to be hand tightened .

My wife bought a pair of Alpaca socks for me . They do NOT keep my feet warm . I will be using the Thermacell remote controlled heated insoles that I got for Christmas .

Sure -- Why not .... My friend's kids had a nice lloking rock placed by the pond and it said " Dad's Pond" . I think they actually bought it though .

Heads up on Reward Points at DICKs and F&S . At the end of January the Rewards Points Place does a reset . Whatever points you have at that time , you lose . If you have accumulated 300 points , you earn a $10 reward and you will get that . Let's say at the end of January you have accumulated 250 points . Zap ! They are gone . I shop at both of the stores and have gift cards , coupons and Rewards Points so I make it a point to stay on top of the situation .

We plan to travel to celebrate New Year's Eve --- traveling about 100 yards to a neighbor's house . I don't like to drive anywhere to celebrate . I don't drink but have had some close calls on the roads from those that do drink . I don't want to be a statistic !

Check out the Dec 29 issue of NY Outdoor News page 5 . Ken Fish Jr was crossing a field in Hebron , NY around 5 pm . Someone shot in his direction . There was a hole in his wooden stock , his hand was hit and he lost two fingers . The incident happened late last month .

I bought a grinder from DICKs over 10 years ago . It's a NorthEast Outfitters grinder . 800 Watt -120 volt motor . Grinds 2# / minute and has a built in temperature fuse so the motor won't burn out . I have no idea what the HP is though . I grind a lot of burger and in the 10 years I may have ground 20 - 25 deer and my son has ground a few . DICKs had the grinder for half price so I paid $50 plus tax . It was an excellant investment .

Years ago , it used to be ties , after shave lotion , etc .. Not any more . I will probably look for some hunting boots to put the heated insole into and I want to get a Ryobi Expand-It 15 in. Articulating Hedge Trimmer Attachment to use in some of my hunting spots . Home Depot has this and it has a good rating .

I call BS on this . You had better hope that the guy on the property has the right corrective lens's if he is shooting 30 min past legal shooting hours .
