Could anyone ID this UTV brand/model?
fasteddie replied to goosifer's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
I was in Macedon today so I stopped into Filer's Power Sports . I showed the pic of the UTV to a salesman and he said it was a RZR but didn't have his glasses so couldn't tell the model . Folks were being waited on so I left . There was a Polaris RZR by the door for $25,999 ( Rzr XP Turbo Dynamix Edition ) . That's more than my Subaru ! If someone has $26,000 to spend on a toy , they should have money to buy land . Looks like they have real thick tires . Not sure spike strips would work . There are signs on posted by the railroad tracks in Ontario that have a warning to stay off . https://www.filerspowersports.com/new-models/polaris-industries-side-x-side-rzr-trail-sport-1512485440104504227790873 https://www.filerspowersports.com/ -
Counting the TV in the garage , I have 7 TV's . I pay for 2 boxes on two of the TV's . Looking for something that will give me just local channels on the other TV's . Looking into alternatives . I will check with the guys at Target in Webster and see what they say . Thanks for the suggestions . Doc --- It's the 21st Century . Get with it !

Spectrum / Time Warner is going to Zap reception in a day or two . I am good on 2 TV's as I have 2 converter boxes . A Spectrum rep told me that I could get local channels and more through ROKU and FireStick JailBreak . Has anyone tried this ? I tried one of the amplified full HDTV indoor antennas and it is pretty much worthless .

Forester/Logger recommendations

Some of the loggers prefer to do the work by areas so they aren't moving their equipment all over which is cost effective for them . Future Forestry might have some insight on that . -
Forester/Logger recommendations
fasteddie replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I will have to check with my oldest son . He had his 16 acres logged . I think he dealt with the forestry dept and paid them something like 15% and the forestry dept over saw the work . The loggers wanted to take out some big oaks and my son said no way that the trees were more valuable than money . Just made a call . My son contracted through Future Forestry out of Naples , NY . They went through different logging outfits , got bids and determined who would do the work and over saw the work that was done . You could go through different loggers and do all this yourself if you want to take the time and keep an eye on their work . Future Forestry made sure there was some cleanup done and that the trails were cleared / repaired ( if necessary ) . -
My 42 year old son had a Stroke last Monday night . He was unresponsive and luckily someone was at his apartment when he collapsed . His boyfriend , who is an RN was able to get to his apartment in about 10 minutes and an ambulance arrived quickly . At the local hospital , 2 doctors debated whether to give him a shot as they didn't have permission . My son's boyfriend said to give him the shot and he would sign anything necessary and take full responsibility . My son became responsive within 20 minutes and was moved from the hospital in Jersey City to St Barnabus in Livingston NJ . My wife and I were in NJ from Tuesday afternoon and got home Friday evening . Our son had a Angiogram and a MRI . They found a restriction in his left Carotid Artery with a slight tear . We drove back to Livingston , NJ Sunday after church and stayed until this am . He had another Angiogram and MRI yesterday . He was released from the hospital last night and we took him to his home in Jersey City . So far no therapy is required but he has several medical follow ups to do . If worse comes to worse , after a follow up in 3 months , they may have to install a stent in the artery . Our church , family and friends were praying for our son . They worked !

Rob ---- I have a life and don't spend 24/7 on this site . My son had a stroke and we drove to New Jersey Tuesday am and got home after 7 pm last night . I didn't have access to a computer and wouldn't have had time to delete these stupid foreign posts . If the best you can do is whine or complain about the moderators all I have to say is kiss my ass ! You have no idea how much screwing around we have to do to to delete all the junk posts and ban those that send them . The site owner has done a lot to make eliminating those posts easier for us but they crop up fast and we don't always catch them immediately . My wife and I will be leaving for New Jersey again tomorrow to go to the hospital as my son will be having a couple procedures and we want to be there . Since I won't be on the site , you can put down your knitting and whine / complain some more ! -
What's the coolest thing you found in the woods?
fasteddie replied to helmut in the bush's topic in General Chit Chat
I also found a shotgun several years ago . I was putting up posted signs on my SIL's property . I was on a neighbor's side in somewhat of a thick area and saw something laying on the ground . It was a Remington 20 gauge . I couldn't get the action open all the way but it appeared to be loaded with birdshot and the gun was quite rusty . I finished with the posted signs and took the shotgun to the neighbor . He had no idea who had left it there as his brother and nephews never mentioned losing a shotgun . I left it with him . It just seemed weird to find a shotgun laying out in a wooded area . -
