  1. Those 6 toe shower shower shoes are something else !
  2. I prefer to do the card swaps and upload the pictures when I get home . I have a card reader that plugs into my phone so I can see what is on the card but I don't even bother to do that . I bought several SD cards on EBAY for around $2.50 each with free shipping . I can also put the card in one of my Canon cameras and see what is on the card . Card Holder http://www.ebay.com/itm/SDHC-MMC-CF-Micro-SD-Wallet-Carrying-Pouch-Case-Holder-Memory-Card-Storage-/112279668648?hash=item1a2463c7a8:g:J-MAAOSwLEtYhs7N
  3. In light of what Doc posted , I will settle for a "participation trophy" . If a doe come by and I have a shot , I will fill a tag and she will be in the freezer . I don't "age the meat" and don't have a problem with taste by not doing so . Would I like to shoot a buck with a big rack ? You betcha ! But I am not by any means obsessed with getting a "Trophy Rack" ! Send those tasty does my way !
  4. When I was 12 , i took my dad's bolt action Mossberg 22 and shot woodchucks for local farmers in Groveland . They were happy to have me do it . One farmer actually bought me a box of 22 LR hollow points . When I was 14 , my dad let me buy a Marlin lever action 22 from Hughs Sporting Goods Store in Dansville . Shot a lot more woodchucks and several squirrels . In 1965 my father in law asked me if I would get a hunting license and go deer hunting with him . He hadn't gone deer hunting in several years and wanted to get back into it . We hunted the big woods in Sonyea and a property on Gibsonville Road in Leicester . This only lasted about 4 years and he quit . I hunted alone for a couple years and quit . Somewhere around 1990 my SIL bought some property in Geneseo and was having a house built . She asked me if I would hunt with her as she was again interested in deer hunting . I got back into it and have been hunting ever since then . I don't mind hunting alone but a few times a year my sons hunt with me . I will be 76 this coming season and sometimes wonder how many more years I can continue to stay at it .
  5. I stopped by the Webster K-Mart to see what they have left . I bought a 66" toboggan that was priced at $39.99 for $15.99 and tax . It was 60% off . I kinda wore out my other Toboggan that I have used to haul deer for the past several years . http://www.kmart.com/emsco-66-inch-toboggan-orange/p-00612026000P?plpSellerId=Kmart&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1
  6. Thanks for all the suggestions . Saturday , my son changed the spark plug , air cleaner , oil , etc ... No effect on the engage lever . The seat switch plug that comes out by the gas tank had no place to plug into anything but the mower would still run when you got off the seat . He took his meter and checked out a few things and unplugged the reverse switch . Voila ! He could engage the blades and mow in both directions . Soooooo , apparently the culprit was connected to the reverse switch . Thanks again ! I did find a manual for the tractor on line and it has over 390 pages . Wow !
  7. I had a small 2 sided pill container that I had cards in . When I got to the last camera , the container wasn't in my pocket . So , I lost that with 5 SD cards and as many times as I walked my route , I never found it . I buy my SD cards on line from EBAY and buy the 4 GB cards . I don't need anything bigger than 4 GB . I probably have about 3 dozen SD cards .
  8. I use them to capture pics of what is in the woods . I enjoy seeing pics of deer , fox , yotes , turkeys , tresspassers , etc .. I often set up a couple cams when we go away on vacation . Just in case . When I see one of the bird feeders trashed I set up a cam and usually see where a raccoon is busting up a feeder . I find the pictures entertaining !
  9. My youngest son bought me a card holder that holds 8 SD cards ( $10 ) . Cards don't stay in the foam cutouts . I purchase a couple of zipper pouches that will hold 11 cards on each side . I put the blanks on one side and the card pulls on the other side . It cost me $3 plus frees shipping on EBAY . It works great . This was $3 when I bought it a couple years ago . http://www.ebay.com/itm/22pcs-Memory-Card-Wallet-Micro-SD-SDHC-CF-Protective-Storage-Holder-Pouch-Case-/291786687223?hash=item43efd782f7:g:kIkAAOSwOVpXWFBN
  10. Rather difficult to see .... so I edited a picture
  11. Happy Birthday Paula ..........
  12. Awesome work. You da man! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  13. I have a half dozen of these and they are handy as heck . I bought some bolts at Tractor Supply so I can mount the bow holder just below the seat of the ladder stand . So easy to use and so handy . I have left a few bolted to stands .
  14. Great looking buck . Good luck this coming season .
  15. I gave my son a copy of the responses on here . We disconnected the belt from the drive pulley and moved the engage lever . The engine stalled out . Still looking for a solution . Thanks for the responses .
  16. I bet his last words were , " hold my beer and watch this" !
  17. What idiots ! Ron White is right , "you can't fix Stupid" !
  18. A few members have mentioned that the wraps make it easier to find arrows . That made me think about how they used to sell Camo Arrows . What were they thinking ?
  19. I bought the Sniper 370 August of last year . Purchased it from BowhuntingOutlet.com for $302.17. free shipping . I hadn't really handled a crossbow much to check them out so it took me a bit to assemble the thing . Went out in the back yard with the X-bow and a tri-pod and had it dialed in ... in very few minutes . Went to DICKs and bought bolts that I think are much better . The only problem I had was with the quiver . I noticed that one of the rods was a bit shattered . E-mailed their customer service and was told that they don't have anything to repair them . I measured the diameter of the shattered rod and also one of the bolts that came with the X-bow . They were almost the same . I took the quiver apart , stripped out the inserts , cleaned them up and glued them into the bolt that I had cut to length . Put the quiver back together and it's fine . I e-mailed the customer service and told them what I had done . The guy thanked me and said he would pass that info on if anyone else had a problem .
  20. My wife was watching one of the Food Shows on TV . One of the chefs said he is a hunter and has made Bone Broth from some of his kills . Has anyone made Bone Broth from deer ? If so , would you share a recipe ........
  21. Paula , In order for it to work for me , I click on the AVI thing . It goes to the bottom of my screen and I have to wait for it to load . Once that happens , I can click on it and watch the video .
  22. Here are the arrow wraps that I had made for me several years ago
  23. One of the best items I bought for hunting is a SLED . It made it much easier to drag a deer even if ther is no snow on the ground . There are holes along the sides so the deer can be tied in . Towing it behind the ATV is a breeze I laughed when I first ever saw a Glen's Deer Drag . I had used a Deer Drag and had put a 5" piece of PVC for a handle . A few years later the Glen's Deer Drag came out .
