After mass this am , we headed for Gus's Restaurant in Williamson . Saw a couple vehicles parked on the north side of the road and commented to the wife that they must be hunters . About 150 yards farther 2 doe jumped the cement median and headed for the cat tails . I slowed down as did the car ahead of me . Another doe jumped the median , fell down and slid . She got up and ran into the cat tails also . The funny part was that they crossed close to the deer crossing sign !

I was at mine today and the roof had caved in and two of the fiberglass rods had popped out of the retainers . The blind is fastened to a platform . I went to Walmart and purchased an extendable golf ball retriever , cut off part of the round end and used it to prop up the roof after I left the blind . Hopefully , it should keep the roof up on the blind .

Well , another wasted day in Geneseo . I got to the property at 6:30 and went down to my pod blind . The roof had caved in but the sides were fine . I popped it back up and then realized the fiberglass supports on 2 corners had come out so i pulled the ceiling back down , inserted the fiberglass ends and put it back up . Had a red fox trot on the trail about 20 yards away at 9 am . . Tried doing a squeak to get him to stop for a picture but he scooted off . Heard maybe 4 shots all morning but never saw anything . Around 11:30 I headed for my car to make a trip to Walmart where I purchased a golf ball retriever that extends . Got a cup of coffee to go with my sandwich as I had made a thermos of coffee but failed to put it in the car .....dumb , dumb ! I cut off part of the round end of the golf ball retriever and headed back to the pod blind . Nothing all afternoon .... nothing on the trail cam except a couple of trespassers . Closed up the windows at 4:15 and set the golf ball retriever against the block at the roof peek to keep it from collapsing again . If it works , it was only a $13 fix . I heard 2 way off shots south of me in the afternoon . Geneseo had always been good for me for getting deer . This year it has really sucked !

Well , I got plenty of ideas and responses . I checked over various phones and got the Samsung Galaxy S5 . My wife has an I Phone and is considering getting the Samsung Galaxy S5 also . I could have gotten it free but would have had to go with a 2 year contract . Paid $49 with the EDGE plan and there is no contract to be locked into . Also paid $30 Tech Armor Glass to protect the screen . It has so much more than my little Samsung Dumb Phone .

Those Catalytic heaters get hot . My gloves got wet and I placed them on my shins with the heater between my feet . One of the gloves fell off and melted . Another time I burned a spot on my brush trousers . The heater in the link I posted looks like it has a protective guard which is a great improvement .

This might do the trick . It's a Mr Buddy heater but it looks like a neat upgrade to the Coleman that I have . I think there are 3 feet that fan out on the bottom of this that makes it more stable . I am looking at upgrading my phone . Some folks seem to like the Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5 over the I Phone while some like the LG phones . Opinions ?

You ask a question and after getting several state responses state , "Why do you some of you guys feel that your OPINIONS matter." If you are dissatisfied with the responses , why don't you call the DEC and get their response ? And while you are at it , tell them how stupid you think it is that having screw in steps in a tree being illegal . Then you have your answer !

I cut fingers off of the surgical gloves , roll them up and slip one over the barrel like a condom . I have killed deer with the ML without removing the rubber . Shoot right through them . I have never had a problem with the action freezing ...... yet .

TC Contender 7-30 waters . Shot a doe with it several years ago . Havn't used it in a long time . Carried my Ruger Super RedHawk a few times but never got a shot with it .

Thanks for the responses . In the past I could upload a card and all the pics would go to one folder in Date order . Now when I upload , they go into separate folders unless I do what I posted above . I would sometimes get over a thousand pics in a months time and they would be in one folder . More work now but it does work . I guess ya just gotta do what works for you .

You ask a question and then insult a person that responds with a legitimate answer ? You can do it on private land but not state land . You can't cut trees or limbs on state land either . It appears that you are trolling for an argument .

The next step after purchasing the property is to post it and go through the headache of keeping trespassers off the land . Good luck .
