And here I thought I secured this Cam to the tree !

Hey all ..... I own a little over 20 acres and over the years I've been trying to contact the owner of 5.5 acres which borders my property . I've never met the owner but did find their address via the GIS map for the county and wrote several letters telling the owner that I would be interested in purchasing the 5.5 acres . I explained that I am the adjacent property owner and will not develop it but just add to my property for Hunting reasons . Last week I took another look at the County GIS map and Lo and Behold (always wanted to use that phrase ..LOL) the 5.5 acres is now owned by the town . I called the local assessor and they stated that the 5.5 acres was NOT taken back for Taxes but was gifted back to the town as the Owners Family no longer wanted the property . I contacted the assessor and told them I would like to purchase the property and put it back on the Tax rolls ( nice guy that I am) , they stated that they would bring it up to the board and get back to me ! How would I know what price to pay per acre .... advice needed !

Years ago I took my son out on opening day .... he was not interested until early twenties .... and he shot a buck ! Best day of my life and his !

Hate to say it but are you sure your getting YOUR deer ?

They (Does) usually never travel alone and probably at this time of year a Buck is close by , I wait 15-20 minutes before climbing down from my ladder stand ! You never know !

I drive 45 minutes to my property in 4H/R and have two DMP's and at 7:15 am this morning my wife sends me a couple Pic's from where we live in 4B from the back porch ..... this Buck was just sniffing the ground and walked less than 10 feet from my wife and didn't notice her ! What are the chances ?

Yeah I'm up , couldn't sleep probably have a bowl of cereal and wait for buddy to show up then out we go ! Stay safe out there and good luck !
