Nothing wrong with getting to camp late friday night and get out there in the morning. I do it all the time. I might look like a zombie, but who cares.

Heading out in an hour boys, will get to camp hopefully by sunset and get ready for the morning. Good luck to all and knock em down. Most important have fun, be safe and cherish the time spent with family and friends. Doesnt get much better.

I dont have the recipe but my mom makes these hard cookies with dry fennel seeds, its my favorite. They are also a great coffee dunking cookie....yum...She always makes them prior to xmas. Also makes a cookie that is stuffed with dried figs and a mix of dehydrated fruits, thats awesome and addicting as well...its an italian thing..lol

It happens to the best of us. A gut shot deer is a dead deer, they travel quite a bit aways before they die. They can be found. I have found a couple thru the years for my dad and cousin. One took us over a road and thru a swamp on hands and knees, thats after letting her go over night. Did you try calling deer search?

Trust me its not that bad as im making it out to be, i just rather be hunting right now. There are alot of positives to living / working near the city. But i also cherish my outdoor lifestyle.

Besides you just need to walk the streets of NYC and you can get your fix of that stuff real fast. Lots of things hanging out all over the place. Summer is grand in the city.

I agree, i always said i should have been born a farmers son. I dont mind living in Brooklyn but im getting tired of this NYC rat race and all its tourist. Gets old after a while. Got many more years to go before i can retire...ugh.

same here leaving work early Friday to drive 3 1/2 hrs. But atleast i have the weekend . On my lunch as well, typing as i walk the streets of NYC...LOL

You got that right, i make up all these fairytales in my mind of bucks chasing does around my stand. And without fail every year the biggest buck around tends to my mock scrape in broad daylight one or 2 days before i get there..lol

I went out hunting one year in the late season after being sick for two weeks , was hacking up a lung and all kids of crap coming out of my lungs, still got in the treestand. Im just obsessed/crazy.

Same here took off the last two weekends to wrap up one of my boys fall baseball season, cant wait to get back out there this weekend.
