Lever action caliber recommendations
NYBowhunter replied to Jeremy K's topic in Rifle and Gun Hunting
Love my Marlin 35 remington has tremendous knock down power, light weight and very compact. -
I was just gonna post, grizzley.

I draw my bow straight out or slightly up and if the angle of my shot is below my treestand i will bend at the waist. Bending or not bending in relation to your intended target (deer) has many variables, stand height, targets distance from tree, slope of land..etc..

Starting to grow a beard in now. I will grow it and shave it threw out the year. I usually grow it in this time of year and then keep it thru the end of winter, keeping it nicely shaped. -
Unfortunately most times with plots that small any sizeable deer population will destroy them before they can get established. Invest is some dozer work, get a 1/2 acre opened up.

So sad and yes that is very young to die for a cat. My cat loves to eat those balloon nylon strings and eats any small wires (phone charger wires) that are left around. Unfortunately maybe your cat ingested something? Thats tough on the kids.

Is this a NY buck? -
Did anyone even bother looking up this guy, from all his videos and my knowledge of Tim Wells is that he is a phenomenal instinctive shot. He didnt take that 130 yard shot with the hopes of missing, he knew he could make the shot. What were the odds he could have made either of those shots in the video it we didnt see the video for ourselves, most would say slim to none, but he made not one but both shots. Do you call that luck or skill?

Wood burning stove restoration
NYBowhunter replied to crappyice's topic in DIY - Do It Yourself, tutorials and videos
A few years back i saw that TSC had a similar size stove brand new for $200, may not even be worth the effort to restore that stove. -
Nice pics, love the one with the cub.

New trail that i had graded so that i can access the entire other half / higher elevation of my property , 2 new food plots, planted 2 more apple trees, cut and split about 30 trees of all sizes, opened up some new fields and lanes, moved one ladder stand. Serviced all my machines and toys etc...all done as a weekend warrior with the help of family.

What Were You Doing 15 Years Ago Tomorrow ?
NYBowhunter replied to Water Rat's topic in General Chit Chat
At that time i worked on Wall Street in NYC and was trapped in the building, we couldn't go anywhere as the dust was so thick that daylight turned to darkness and we could not venture outside as it was so dark out. People were pouring into our building from the streets covered fromhead to toe in dust and some with blood. I had to man up that day and be strong for all the ladies in the office as it was mass chaos. One of the scariest things i ever had to experience. The images of people in that office, screaming and chaos are still very fresh in mind. God bless all those families that lost loved ones. I had a co worker that lost his son and had a family friend that lost her husband, very sad day. -
I personally like just enough rack to get my hands around, anything else is just a bonus.
