Not sure why i cant quote anybody. Not sure whats wrong with this site. Anyway. Larry, trust me if it were that easy he would be down long ago, i have alot of pictures of him but unfortunately they are all well after dark Fletch, i agree he could be either 3.5 or 4.5.
-
I agree hes lacking tine length, but yeah he has great potential.
-
Right there with on the no pass.

Reeltime, nothing personal taken. I did this to have fun. But to be completely honest and having hunted this area for close to 30 years, he is without a doubt not a 2 1/2 yr. old. Hes a typical for atleast being a 3 1/2 yr. Old.
-
I agree could be a 3yr. Old as well.. Pictures do pose a bad angle for judging. Thx
-
Not a great pic., but a frontal.
-
Thx, yeah i was leaning more towards 41/2 or older only because his body is very round instead of sleek like a 3yr. Old and has a huge neck. At this point its just a guess, but its fun..lol

What age would you guys put this buck at based upon his body, neck etc...at 3 1/2 or at 4 1/2 and older? I have no history with him, just a target buck that im looking for an approx. age on.

Did you notice the other deer to the left?

I head to camp on friday morning just to relax and get things ready for the opener, but yeah if i had to go to camp friday night it would all feel rushed and not fun.

Not sure why the above keeps showing. Anyways , congrats grow. The 5 pointer i shot with my crossbow i was thrilled about even though i have some bruisers im after. But i can tell you for sure the meat was tender as heck and there was no taste of gameness. Way to get it done, now go enjoy that healthy meat. First thing i did was eat the liver, then our next meal was tenderloins wrapped in bacon. If your buck is anything like mine, it will be delicious. Sorry Buckmaster, live and learn. I learned last year when i brought a family member, there are some people that just dont listen. After i shot my buck on the gun opener last year i was dragging it to the road, and i saw someone walking around in my ditch along the stream, which i thought was a tresspasser. Turned out it was this family member that i had placed 100 yards from where he was walking, he was walking around on opening morning. Some people just cant follow direction or choose to act stupid. Mind you its approx. 40 acres so its not like its large to start stalking all over the place. Told him to stay in tree stand and dont walk around, and what does he do. Sometimes it doesnt pay to be nice. Get him and that deer out of there and forget about it, then go enjoy your hunt. Good luck....if your anything like me, people like that just tick me off.

Saw one 2 weeks back next to my property, Otsego county.

Try taking the George washington bridge to the east river drive to the brooklyn battery tunnel, once your out of the tunnel you will be very close to park slope. Just a suggestion.
-
You should be fine as you will be going against traffic as you approach Brooklyn, most traffic will be heading into NYC at that time. Then by 11 or 11:30 when you leave most of the rush hour going towards the city should be alot less. But than again its hit or miss on some days. I grew up not too far from park slope.

My stands that are in more open areas are set to where the sunrise is either at my back or to the side of me.
-
Throw a stick or rock near them.

How Early Before Sunrise Do You Get In Your Stand?
NYBowhunter replied to buffalojay83's topic in Bow Hunting
I like to be on stand with bow and gun a half hr. To 45 minutes before sunrise. In the late season (muzzleloader) i like to walk in just as the sun comes out. -
Awesome pictures, if you venture down south into Sicily say hello to my family...enjoy.

Ive always said that people today feel they are owed things before they are even earned. Its sad but in reality people like my dad that came here from Italy and worked 30 years in construction to support a family are a dying breed. Most people today feel they are entitled to everything, loss of hard work ethic. Sorry but most of these protesters are the very same leaches that feed off the backs of the working person. Where do people find the time to do this crap. Simply amazing.

Wash all clothes in plain water, place clothes in a locking tote with a couple pine branches. I take a shower before each hunt with just water, no soaps what so ever, not even scent free soaps. When i get to stand i spray everything down with scent killer earthy/dirt smelling cover scent. I never play the wind as deer come from every direction on all my stands and wind direction can change on the dime on my mountain.
