  1. best way to contact me is txt 315-569-6360 and i will only sell through FFL transfer
  2. Remington 1187 12 gauge. Bought this gun and a savage 220 this spring because my new farm is in shotgun zone. Going to hunt with the Savage and don't want to leave this one collecting dust. Bought used from a shop. Rifled slug barrel was pinned and daMar scope mounts installed. I believe the work was all done by Da mar gunsmiths in weedsport, well known for building accurate slug guns, but cant confirm it as it was before i owned it. What i can confirm is the gun is a shooter. Was shooting 2-3 inch groups at 100 this summer with it. Asking 450 plus the FFL transfer, can meet withing a half hour of syracuse
  3. i shoot NAP killzones. thye drop in sight 9 out of 10 times and you dont break arrows, or need o rings
  4. ive seen young of the year fawns doing that. while mom watches over them. kind of like kids on the playground

  8. i have a screw in tree umbrella. best 20 bucks i ever spent. i love being in the woods right after a heavy rain stops.. that usually means im hiking in and setting up inna downpour.. as soon as the rain stops, get ready. they are on their feet

  11. i own a 86 hondr 250 fourtrax 2wd. waaaaay lighter than the big 4x4's so i can pull it out if i get it stuck. i love the little quad, especially since i found it for 400 bucks
  12. too rich for my blood. i bought a cva optima v2 last week that clovered the first 4 bullets i shot out of it at 100 yards. All that for a third of what this costs.
  13. thanks so much great advise! let me know if u end up going
  14. weather i believe was the biggest factor. deer dont hit corn fields when its 60,they go to browse and hard mast.
  15. Some buddies and I are heading to Ohio for the 3 day muzzleloader season in January, with plans to stay and hunt in Zaleski state forest. . I've never hunted outside of NY, so going in completely blind without time to scout. But its Ohio, so im going regardless of my slim chances. Anyone ever make the trip out there? not looking for your best spot, just some general direction or info to shorten my learning curve if possible.
  16. Bow buck from last week. Came in nose to the ground looking for a girlfriend, stopped him at 27 yards for the shot. He was coming in on a full trot, when i grunted the 3rd time to stop him he actually stopped and took a step back .At the shot, i watched my lighted nock flying at him and then shoot straight up in the air, i initially thought i hit an unseen branch because id never had that happen before. The arrow ended up missing vitals and caught him in front of the shoulder at the base of his neck. As i was reaching for another arrow he went 15 yards ran into a tree and dropped dead. Not the BC deer i was chasing, but im happy with him. Solid 7pt, dressed around 170. Added to the doe i got mid October, my freezer is starting to look good. Headed to camp tomorrow for the last sit of bow season, and hopefully a great gun opener. Looks like the weather will cooperate. Goodluck and stay safe everybody.
  17. Been there brother. Its a great feeling when it all clicks and you start stacking them. keep at it
  18. i went to single pin this year. CBE tek hybrid single pin. Site is awesome. for hunting purposes, i set it at 25yards. 25 and under-normal hold. 30 yards, aim for bottom of top 3rd of deer. 35 yards hold at their back, and anything over i range and adjust. Buck i shot last week came in at 24, was nice to be able to aquire target in site quickly rather there worrying about which pin.
