Im all for having the youth hunt and especially the Oct 1st opener... I mean seriously,, how much "pressure" is it really going to put on deer? Stand land by me is packed with bow guys anyways, so a kid or two with his dad going for his first deer will have a marginal effect on the pressure we already have. Hunt and let Hunt

Make sure to keep a close eye on the weather when your out there.. You dont wanna get into a tight spot on Ontario in a 12 footer if its going to take you a while to get back to shore... Goodluck and go get em.

I have a 67 starcraft. 19' fishing boat. Closed bow, with full windshield and canvas. No outboard, but most of the steering hookups are included. Trailer is older but in great road shape. No leaks. New in 2009: -canvas -seats -transom -floor This is a great lil family boat to fish or cruise in.. Was my grandfathers, who taught me to love fishing. I'd hate to see it rot away on the trailer. Great lil boat that's brought me home through some pretty bad storms. 1300 or make an offer. Open to trades.. Pm for pics or will load tommorow

Hey fellas. Got my new Hoyt rampage XT today via archerytalk classifieds.. My first draw of the bow without my release, I did a half dry fire as I was backing it down. I'm not used to the new bows harder cams I suppose.. I checked the limbs for cracks and found nothing.. The only visible damage was the peep site snapping off.. I also drew it several more times with no issues... Wondering if I missed checking anything? Anyone w expirience would be appreciated, I'm debating on shooting tommorow, or bringing it to a dealer to check its safe.. Thoughts?

Id use the interactive tool, and if there is a question as to if hunting is allowed.. Give your local DEC office a call... I've talked to a few officers in Region 7 and they are usually more than happy to let you know where you can and cant hunt, also they may know of other public lands around to give you a better starting point

When you measure, be sure to throw on your hunting jacket or clothing you prefer to hunt in.. Your length of draw in a t shirt in May could be very different than your LOD in a winter parka in November

Sounds like a great idea, but knowing NYS.. Its probably illegal to take a piss on state land, so i doubt theyd go for it

I've fished there on and off the last few years.. For spin fishing i use small trout worms or joe's stone flies.. Also kernals of corn if the water is real murky..
