  1. John, Hows the IQ working out? I ordered one off that site, waiting for new bow to arrive to put it on.. What do u think? Is the retinalock worth it?
  2. I have a Ruger .243 that i wont use for deer. A buddy of mine shot two with it and had alot of trouble tracking and had to shoot one twice.. (This particular buddy is 60 and i've never heard him shoot more than once on 15-20 deer.) With a .270 or 30-06 even if the hit isn't perfect, they dont go very far.
  3. I hope they bring the hammer down on these idiots.. Giving all of us a bad name
  4. There are a couple of videos on youtube about setting up the retina lock.. It looks pretty basic. I talked to one guy who has one, and he said the most important thing is to sight in your first pin before trying to align the dot.. Keep me posted and good luck Here is one of the video's

    TICS!

A little off topic, but does anyone know what kind of a year they are predicting for acorns this year?
  6. I appreciate the link.. I'll be picking up for 4 pin next pay check... a Big thank you from me, and especially from my wife and annual bow budget.
  7. John, I've had my eye on the 4 pin IQ model for the last couple of months.. If you know anywhere i can buy it without shelling out 2 bills, id be very interested. Goodluck with the new sight, hope it works out for you
  8. The quality of those pics is excellent. what kind oif camera?
  9. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/03/19/report-us-government-spent-at-least-45m-on-advertising-in-2010/ and people wonder why theres a deficit
  10. I have one also.. The tarp works good to keep road junk off your deer as well as keep it wrapped up to not give the anti's any more reason to whine at us.. Also, be careful walking around the truck in the dark, mine has left more than its fair share of shin bruises on me and my hunting buddies
  11. I find the bullet type matters less than the bullet weight.. i've noticed that for my 06 (remington 760) the gun will stack 150gr bullets almost on top of one another, but if i switch to a 165gr or a 180 they group in a 4-5inch area at 100 yds.. Not a huge problem, but it can make a difference.. I did the same test in sighitng in my fathers '06 (browning safari bolt action) and it perferred the 165grains over anything else... Hope it helps
  12. No grenade launcher? Damn there goes my deer rifle plans
  13. Awesome pics. Love that last one
  14. I saw 2 bucks this week, one still had horns, one didn't

    arrow rest.

I think i'll be trying this this season... No effect on accuracy?
  16. I went out last evening.. Walked up on an 8 pointer still with headgear.. There was a bigger bodied deer with him that i believe is a 5 yr old thats dropped already. Hoping to find them after work today..
  17. Awesome story, just to be clear, how are we working the drawing for bow stands to hunt him? lol
  18. At least when we harvest animals, we take them home and have them for dinner
  19. Cool pics. it'd take me 5 years to get that many sheds in NY.. nice job
  20. That's interesting Geno..I've been doing alot of scouting lately in central NY, as we dont have 3 feet of snow everywhere this year, and saw racks on bucks up to about a week ago. I've been wondering if the very mild winter would contribute to them keeping their racks later.. If nothing else, it should keep more fawns alive
  21. I'll pay 10 for rings AND 10 for scope...
