  1. Look's like Rex Ryan hired his brother to be the Bills defensive coach!!!
  2. I have to admit, I hate the seats that come with turkey vests. After sitting for several hours, several mornings in a row, my tailbone gets pretty sore even when sitting on that seat cushion. I have since went to a turkey chair, and have found that these work wonders for your sitting ability for long waits. Tried this approach a couple of season ago, and haven't looked back since. Now at 61 going on 62, this is the only way for me to sit. To get an idea what they look like check out Midwest supply on page 14. The chair I'm referring too is very similar to the Primos Wingman or Browning Strutter. I like this style better than the ALPs chair in the upper left hand corner because of the leg set-up. Seems there is always tree roots around most set-up trees, and this type of chair seems easier to maneuver around them.
  3. Currently own, for a long time now, a Winchester 1300, which I love dearly. If I was to ever go to a semi-auto, from all I have read and heard, the Winchester SX3's rate right up their on the reliability list!!
  4. Nothing like slashing some ATV tires as payback?
  5. Ditto that, besides then you don't have to bother doing it yourself!!
  6. The plastic wad will prevent any contact with the barrel, it's in the choke tube where the wad gets separated depending on what choke tube you have. Hence be sure that your choke can handle hevi-shot loads. Kick's specifically specifies not to use any hevi-shot loads through their choke tubes. I have been using a Rhino .660 choke out of my Win 1300 for many years now, along with a tri-plex Hevi-shot load from Nitro Company in their 3" 5x4x7 shell. Last year I switched to a Patternmaster code black .665 choke and the new Longbeard shells from Winchester. Been experimenting with both #4's and #5's. They both pattern very well out of my gun.
  7. Great pic's thanks for sharing!!!
  8. Spring turkey hunting, and Fall bow hunting are my two favorite passions, along with target shooting. My woodworking hobby making display boards for the serious turkey hunters, will soon start up again down in my woodshop.
  9. I had quite a few decoys over the years. The ones of choice for me are made by Feather-Flex. I don't know if they even make these anymore? I have one jake and a hen, and carry them with me every day afield during the season.
  10. Barrel wise yes, choke wise is another story. Be sure to check with the choke company if their chokes are safe for Hevi-shot loads.
  11. Leaning with either the new IQ Ultra lite 3 pin model or the Copper John Rut Wrecker in the 3 pin model as well for my next bow site. I use a ranger finder, so having at least 3 pins will keep me covered at the distances I want to shoot at.
  12. The newer LC9 "S" model has what I have been seeing and reading a much better trigger than the older LC9. That is the one I intend to get but in their LC9s Pro model.
  13. I picked up a CZ 452 American .17 HMR few years back and love the quality of this gun. Like mentioned above, with that little .17 gr bullet at distances approaching 100 yards or further the wind plays havoc with that bullet weight. My gun seems to love 75 yards best, placing 10 shots in a nickel sized target at that range. Plenty accurate for head shots on squirrels. But like some have stated a good quality .22 will get the job done as well and cheaper.
  14. .308 Winchester w/ 168gr. Ballistic Silvertips. Very accurate in my gun, a Tikka.
  15. I would leave it to the Pro's to work on any of my guns. Their experience is what matters. Just be sure to hook up with a very good Smith!!
  16. Best part is after that, each day gets a couple of minutes more day light right up till June 20th, which will be our longest day of daylight!!!
  17. WowZA, that is a brute of a buck for sure!!!
  18. Another vote for Summit. I actually own two now. One is their Goliath model, which is rated for 350 lbs. and is 3" wider in the seat section. And I recently picked up at Cabela's, a Viper SD model as well. Very comfy stand and solid when climbing.
  19. Like others have mentioned, when at the range, I use ear protection always. But in the woods with either shotgun or rifle, and it usually being only one shot, no. BUT!!! If using a handgun I highly would suggest to use ear protection at all times.
  20. Yep, hope all has an awesome day!!!
