FYI when I checked the cams two weeks ago nothing was left except for the gourds. Deer didn't touch them. Did not have the buck on camera.

Is this legit? Pretty funny. I used to hang out with Ralf Macchio when we were kids. Went to a bunch of hockey games with him when he was shooting the Outsiders. Real good guy and down to earth.

I found a bunch last weekend. My neighbor said it was a little early to dig them.

Yeah I agree on that.

So I get up to camp last Thursday to do the spring cleanup. I walk down the road frontage I own and say to myself something is missing. Last fall I put up about 15 posted signs. The plastic ones on a slab of 12x12 wood. Well they were all taken. I just don't get it, then again I don't understand why some guys need to drive 60 mph past my camp on a dirt road. Talked to my neighbor about it and he told me the guy down the road had the same problem. Where my camp starts the road is seasonal. There is also a groomed sled path that is maintained throughout the winter. He thinks it was snowmobilers. I'm sure thats what they used to get in but who knows. Went out and bought the cheap signs and stapled them up. Good news is the camp started right up with little to no damage. Found two dead deer walking around. Saw a bunch of Turkey, grouse and some Woodcock. Wish I could of stayed for the opener!

You pose a number of questions in the above paragraphs that could get mushed up together so I will take one. Where I hunt 8P there is a good population of deer. I can go out and hunt and see 15-20 deer. Sometimes half of those deer are bucks. This mainly happens early bow then dwindles down as the rut approaches. Why because the bucks scatter over a large area looking for receptive does. So with that in mind I think they would be equally challenging to hunt if numbers are the same. You can go on and on with many variables to this question. Excellent question now one for you....what are you doing up so early? I have an excuse I'm headed to camp have 6 hrs of driving ahead of me! lol

Nice job on the mount. We have a three legged doe in our area that has been around for years now. Just amazing how they survive.

I have a 2006 Tahoe. It had the "0" motor in it which was the better of the two that Chevy installs. At 197,00 miles the cam shaft went bad. I loved the vehicle so I had a new motor put in. Two things I don't like about it. Doors have no drip edge so water will drip onto the control panel for windows and doors. This caused a short and I had to replace the panel. Spare tire under the truck is a pain in the butt to get off. Other than that I still have it at 215,000 miles and hope to get another 100,000 out of her. Good luck.

A lot of finger pointing up your way. Hope they get you back on before tomorrow night! -
When they are at their worst you have to be at your best. You know your kid and do the right thing, each one is different.
