  1. Introducing Kit Carnesi an 8 week old female yellow from Close Corters Labs PA.
  2. Working on it, this time I did a liquid mineral pit so there's no evidence to the naked eye!! lol Probably won't see picts until sometime in January.
  3. What about this. Is it that most of us are using scopes on out guns that gather light making it easy to see the game and identify at low light situations? As I sit in my bow stand I know my limit is about 30 yards. Now when the light starts to fade and branches start to blend in with the forest ground I call it quits. I don't need that animal getting injured but it's only 30 yards away and I can clearly see it's a deer. Is it the optics that gives us confidence when the light goes dim? I know one thing you should not use your optics to identify your target. Thoughts no right wrong here.
  4. When we built the cabin I did all the plumbing in PEX. I installed many shut off valves and two nipples where I could hook up and air compressor to blow out the lines. It works great but don't forget the antifreeze in the traps!
  5. There's no antler sickness here. You see something magnificent out in the woods I would like to get a picture of him, knowing there were no reports of him being taken. When I hear the word "bait" it means I'm out there to lure it in and kill it. This is not the case. You can keep on preaching how ethical you are which is great, have at it but don't call me a baiter. I've been around a long time and have seen a lot of unethical practices in the woods. This my friend is not. So unwind your panties and move on. Someone talked about hanging cams over gut piles. We all know deer will lick at the blood of other deer and are attracted to it, but this is ok? I was warned about the heat I would take which is ok but really some of you guy(s)................
  6. Read he had a special permit to go after this bear. How does that work??
  7. Just to be clear I did not hunt over the apples and pumpkins. Just put them out in front of the camera hoping to see what was left on my property. I know NYS still has a problem with this.
  8. Deer are still eating apples off my trees.
  9. That's Doe whacker who wants to take me on....Steve's a bit smarter not by much though!
  10. First of all it's BURT after all these years get it right! You and doe seem to show up like Turkey Vultures on Rt 17.........Hmmm?
  11. So this year I saw the biggest buck in my life last day of bow season. 1 other person from another camp also saw this deer this year. Nobody reported it shot so I hope he made it. We left camp the third day into muzzleloader season. Before coming up I collected a bunch of pumpkins and semi rotten apples. Changed the cards and batteries in the two cams and spread out the bounty hoping to see if he is still around. I know you are not allowed to do this in NYS but what the hell. Last few days and it might help some critters along. Go ahead and kill me I deserve it! lol
  12. Still have Jan gun season on long Island.
  13. Patience is a virtue. I passed a number of smaller bucks at bow season just to see the two biggest deer of my life the last Friday of bow. I know one of them was taken at gun but the giant still lurks among us.
  14. Just seems like a slap on the wrist. Fines and up to 1 year in jAIL.
  15. Does you son like it ? If so tell him to stay awake!! lol
  16. My brother shot a doe on long island a few years ago. Didn't have any front teeth they age her at 9 years.
  17. His twin....growing out of his head! no idea....
