I'll sit for another hour than it's off to work. It's warm out but doesn't feel so bad sitting here motionless in the shade. -

Sweet looking rig. I hope you nail some deer with it. -
I have a spot close to home that is just like this. Surrounded by houses on one side and thruway on the other side. My stand is hung 40-50 yards from the thruway. My back is to the thruway the cars constantly going by sucks but those cars help mask your accent and any noise that you might make. I don't hunt this spot often because it doesn't feel like a true country sit to me but for me it's a great spot to take the kids for a short sit or a quick sit before work if I decide to go in to work late. I see plenty of deer there and last year I took 3 deer With the muzzle loader there each on half day hunts.

I love following this thread every year. I'm watching a deer search guy video on you tube right now it's a decent video.

I'm looking to possibly purchase a new pair of binoculars for bow and gun hunting nothing to bulky. I don't have a big budget looking to spend no more than $125.00. The reviews on these leupold look pretty good. Anyone have experience with these binos? My old nikon monarchs grew legs a couple years ago and walked out of the work truck.

She doesn't eat meat but she sure likes the bone? Lol Depends on where I'm hunting and the mood I'm in. If a bog doe presents me with a shot I'm taking it unless it's the rut and the chase is on. The past few years I've passed on plenty of bucks and the one year ended up shooting a small 5 pt with the bow because there was only 2 days left in the season and I was on a property that's over run with deer.

Same here I've only seen it one where it was all out crazy chasing. Its was November 3rd 2008 I went back to the car for lunch a couple hours later I headed in for the afternoon and never made it to my stand. There were 9 different bucks chasing a doe in and out if the field for the entire evening. I never got a shot but very cool experience. At gmans/gregs I've seen a single buck hounding a doe. Back in 98 I was 17 years old self taught myself how to bow hunt. I nailed a huge buck a little far back but the blood was dumping out of both sides of the buck and being young and dumb I knocked another arrow and ran chasing behind him for another shot. I searched and searched. That evening when my grandmothers husband got home we went back out and looked some more without the bows. He was blind in one eye and colored blind in the other he always thought i was full of it when I told him about all the deer I see. While looking for that buck I whispered stop here comes a few deer we stood there for almost an hour and seen almost 30 deer half of them being bucks. They weren't chasing or anything. We had deer with in a few feet from us. Craziest thing I've experienced in the woods.

October can't get here fast enough. I hope some one gets one of these bucks this season.

Congrats to you both. Great story and great bear way to stick after them.

That's cool that you have drills to help you keep it suppressed. I wouldn't be able to shoot in a league or in a big group of people I would feel like I sucked and that would bring the target panic out quick. The target panic is a huge PIA.

2 years ago I switched from shooting the expensive arrows to shooting walmart arrows. They shoot good and only cost me $1 each when they go on clarence. Now if I ruin a couple of arrows I don't feel bad. It's been a few years since I've felt as confident in my shooting as I do this year.

Jermy I have the same thing that's happening to you happen to me every year while target shooting. I some times i have to walk to with in 10' of the target close my eyes draw the bow back anchor open my eyes and release. I repeat that for a little while. It helps big time when I get target panic.
-
Not my first shot but first round at 30 yrds tonight.
-
I also usually float the pin over my target about an inch. I use to get target panic really bad and that float would open up much more luckily this year I've been keeping the target panic under control and keeping the float to about an inch.

Got my first piebald on camera a doe. Pretty cool hide i like how half of her face is white.
