Daughter is in pre k. She came home last week and knew quite a bit about memorial day and why its celebrated. That made me happy.

Hit cabelas on way home after Turkey hunting. They had a youth fishing event. We managed to catch one.

We saw a skunk that was exciting. An Oriole- never saw one hunting. Thunder rolled in and three turkeys were gobbling. We had a hen answer us back close for a half an hour we went back and forth. The gobblers didn't want to play but we still managed to have a good time.

Heading to blind with my future Turkey hunter. no expectations but we have snacks.

That explains the decline in rabbits lately. Dw a bit too loud....Elite!

Went for a nice hike today with the family. Love that park.

Birds were gobbling a bit later for me yesterday. good luck everyone

Nothing until about 630 and a gobbler would continue to gobble until 830 never moving. At 9 another one gobbled twice. Neither bird were responding to calls. Walking out at ten almost to truck hear one gobble. I set up along a field quickly and two hens are feeding in field. My brother set up facing woods. This bird was thirty yards from my brother but foliage was too thick he couldn't even see bird. It was crazy I could see bird but wasn't a safe shot. Bird seemed to move off a bit so i told brother keep him gobbling I'll loop around him. I creep up this ridge and the whole time he is gobbling his head off. Just as I Crest the top of ridge gun with gun up I see him and put red dot on and put putt gone. One more second would of had him. Crazy fun though

We had so much fun . At one point the gobbling got close I promised him ice cream if he sat still. Will held up his end even though the birds didn't. Note chocolate ice cream all over face. He crashed hard after hunt at least he stayed awake while hunting.

After Turkey hunting we took a quick ride to lake Erie and threw kayak in. Gorgeous day. no fish but it was fun.
