  1. They may not 'get it'... but I'm pretty sure they can read. It seems they always run over to the POSTED land after the first sounds of rifle fire. Oh... and they have a sense of humor too...
  2. I've only hunted waterfowl one time in my life, but I've always been under the impression that waterfowl hunting is controlled by the feds. So my thinking was they set the limits on the 3-shot rule. Am I wrong in my thinking - just askin'.
  3. I can't wait either!!! This year I joined a winter/spring archery league to cure the cabin fever bug. Hopefully I'll get my first turkey this spring with a bow. Almost 50* today - looks like the turkey's gonna' get an early start.
  4. Anxiously rubbing my hands together... OH YEAH BABY!
  5. I chose 'Muzzy' because that's the type of broadheads I use, and 'Loader' because I purchased a T/C Triumph Muzzleloader last year. Unfortunately I haven't got to shoot or hunt with it yet. If I was to use my name from high school, I'd have to use 'LittleJerry' (although I'm not very little anymore).
  6. Dang, you guys sure are getting jerked around up there.
  7. To funny... I'm passin' it on to my son-in-law (going on 21 years in the USAF).
  8. It was a wonderful story Frank... and one that truly is award winning. Congratulations to you and your daughter (and day you both will remember forever).
  9. She mentioned where she was going to place the collar on me when I was sleeping and I got scared, I now sleep with one eye open. lol ??? Hey Doe... I sleep with one eye open ever since my wife saw the video of the grandmother clerk shoot the robber in the crotch with a .38cal pistol. (My wife has a .38, and she told me, "Watch out!"). :'(
  10. Before we know it, it'll be illegal to smoke in tree stands or the entire woods. I don't smoke (quit in '70)... but I believe the govt. is overstepping it's bounds [again].
  11. Thanks for the update and good luck to you [all] in Newfie... Not really into the big whitetail thing as much as into the grandson thing.
  12. Here's a link re: CCW within the USA http://apps.carryconcealed.net/legal/index.php
  13. Planning on an Archery Hunt in Ohio this year with my grandson. Dan... How's Stoney doing? Is he going to be able to go too?
  14. Hi Jason... welcome. Does that 1000 ref your local #?
  15. I wear hearing aids also Eddie and I lost one in the woods this year bowhunting :'( . When I was getting fitted for my 'new ears' I asked the Audiologist about those 'hunting' hearing aids and he told me to save my money and forget about them. He said they were 'okay', but they weren't always reliable and could do damage to one's hearing (and it wasn't because he was getting money, because I got them through the VA due to a Service Connected disability). Thankfully they replace the first loss w/o charging - next time (?) it's on my dime. I wear my 'ears' the entire season (bowhunting and rifle). They have a shut-off feature that I use just before firing my rifle (although they do have a decimal threashold) to semi-protect my hearing - LOL. Ball... If you're looking to protect your hearing (and please do so, it's very valuable!) - I'd go with ear plugs seeing that you're in a blind with others. You can get some that are tied together so you can wrap them around your neck and insert them on a moments notice, if you wanted to hear conversations better.
  16. Look between the two larger trees in the center of the photo. You can even see the reflection of that deer's right eye.
  17. I could pick out three, and they're lookin' at ya'.
  18. WOW... never heard of 'em, good lookin' website and products. I just may have to try some this fall - thanks gutpile.
