With the hysteria running wild, what about the LEO that just goes to a door for a simple noise complaint and gets a couple rounds of 00 buck through the door because someone thinks that we want his guns. I never want someone to think that every police officer wants his or her guns. Never, ever do I want to collect any guns from law biding citizens...It would be a suicide mission. I understand that there are risks in my chosen profession but that would be a little more than I signed up for.

I hunt whitetail with a 6.8 AR. Instead of purchasing 5 round mags, I took three of my 10 rounders, cut dowels approximately 1" long, wrapped them in electrical tape, removed the bottom plate of the magazines and inserted the dowels so that no more than 5 rounds could be inserted in the magazines while I am hunting. If I take this gun out for varmint, I can easily remove the dowel so that I can insert 10 rounds again. Sent from my ADR8995 using Tapatalk 2

I also used to shoot 3" Remington Sluggers through my smooth bore 870 with a rifled choke...Those were the days before I wised up and grabbed the 2 3/4" Remington Sluggers...Deer were just as dead and my shoulder thanked me. I used to get 1-2" groups at 50 yards with a 4x32 Simmons Prodiamond scope. At that time, it was good for me...Now, I would be looking for tighter groups. Alas, to be young and not know any better. Got to say though, I never missed a deer with that 870 nor did I ever send one running a mile....They all dropped within 50 yards or so of where I shot them...
